I got charged today as well. My shipping was also $25 but for double boxing. Did you double box yours or just shipping as is in the HT shipper?

I opted for double boxing since it's an artisan release and wanted to have a better chance at the box staying pristine during travel

I believe that's a new law about batteries. I'm worried it's not a sticker. I remember when the LEGO Barad-dur was released a few months ago, it had that same warning on it, it was printed on the box.

Goodness I certainly hope it’s not printed on there. Seems like it would be easier to make it a sticker instead of creating a whole new box just to have that warning printed on it in the same way the exclusive marking is just a sticker difference between Sideshow and HK exclusives. The HK ones don’t have that printer on their box so here’s hoping!

But man all these smaller things is getting me real annoyed with this release. Ridiculous hat, plastic sword, unpainted hands.... why these downgrades for "ARTISAN"? Makes it all feel rushed, would've waited much longer if it meant these issues would be fixed.

It’s Hot Toys lol. I’m still excited regardless but I’ve come to accept they don’t have attention to detail. What I also find surprising is that no one is talking about how off this figure is when compared to the actual source.

It's just extra annoying when they make the "updated" version have issues the old one didn't. They did this with 89 bats, 2.0 batfleck, tactical bats, changing accurate parts to inaccurate. I have a DX15 but still.

For anyone curious, here are my repainted sculpted Jack Sparrow hats. I’ll show what they look like on the figure as well, once I have it in hand

From left to right:
Original Medicom>HT AWE>Ulitmate Unison

Have they been? I honestly don’t know since the most recent HT figure I have that has batteries was AOTC R2D2 and that doesn’t have the label.

I thought they were only doing that for Australian orders? At least in the past

It most likely was rushed a little bit, but the original ETA was between Jan 2025-March 2025. Just odd that we’re getting this before Anakin, Wanda or even Joker (though he’s been released overseas already)

I don’t mind the sword personally since the previous diecast ones never had any weathering on the blade except the one that came with the Angelica figure. They also had to be a little balanced in the hands to hold poses in my experience. The plastic one looks the part without adding any unnecessary weight

The hat was always bad even in the proto so I wasn’t expecting that to be fixed.

The unpainted hands is the only thing I have a minor gripe with but that’s easily fixable thankfully

Oooohhh ****** i screwed myself over cancelling sideshow and ordering from TBA. I thought they wouldnt charge customs. This time they did and not slightly. €112 on top. So my Artisan costed me €749 plus the extra dx06 hat i'm on €800 FML. There are worse things in life, but this Artisan better be good!

Welcome to the Netherlands its just bad luck i guess nothing to do about it. Maybe refuse to pay, let it send back and wait for a refund to purchase it again.... nahhh to much fuzz actually. But one thing is certain, this is absolutely ridiculous and waste of money

The AEW hat looks the most like the hat from OST and DMTNT but I also really like the UU hate for looking the most like the hat in the original trilogy. Sadly I can't find either of those parted out on eBay.

Damm... yeah i was just assuming there wouldnt be custom charges with TBA, didnt had any last time. Not sure if they've marked the value higher (proberly). No sideshow definitely add customs to but if i calculated the full ammount with customs i would come out somewhere near €630. I simply wanted it faster and for €637 is was almost a no brainer. But yeah then customs happend and i am end up paying €637 + €112. So in the end i kinda screwed myself over with beeing to impatient to get this. Lesson learned and move on

Kit should be shipping some soon, I'm waiting for my invoice. I have to say, I'll be really pissed if Hot Toys decides to correct the missing hand strap paint in later batches and screws over everyone who got the first batch.
