I am no economics expert, but I don't think that the total cost of tariffs will be transferred to the customer. That defeats the point and historically, doesn't meet the intent or function of tariffs. Companies and manufactures negotiate to see who eats what portion of the tariff. That is why it is a tactic to move manufacturing home. The country used tariffs extensively in the beginning to protect industry in the nation and to raise revenue. They lowered significantly in 1913 with the start of income tax and again in 1947 to stimulate global trade and economy.
Of course, some will make its way into a price hike. But, it shouldn't be the full amount.
The price of figures has been steadily rising for years. When I got my first Hot Toys Figure, it was $80. Of course, that was 20 years ago. Wouldn't surprise me if they use the tariff to hike the price and pocket the difference.
Sadly, at the rate prices increased, many of us are more picky about purchases or have quit all together.
Just my thoughts.
