man I HATE the new stands!!

They scream cheap. I was hoping ROTJ 3-PO was a one off.

YES, one of my all time favorite SW moments. Sidious belting out, "You are...a RIVAL!" made sitting through all the boring Clone War episodes worth it.

And it’s him showing he respects Maul in his own twisted way but personally showing up to deal with him himself. Worthy of his time and attention.

This is definitely an unexpected release. I already have the original Palpatine with chair from HT so will pass on this.

A disappointing May 4 from HT, two clone wars figures during ROTJ 40th.....

I also noticed - his lightsaber handles are tiny as hell. I'm good with this one, though I am glad to see a Palpatine announced.

I'll be doing exactly the same, I hope they tighten the hood a bit in the final release, but he'll always have the hood up covering the eyes for me, so the entire face sculpt isn't a big deal for me.

Definitely a bit disappointing that we only got 2 figures after we got 5 last year and 4 the year before that.

I'll be picking up both figures regardless, but definitely expected a bit more.

Just got one last night too, perfect timing, shocked this wasn't $275 or more.

Just pre-ordered--great price for this one, I thought for sure it would be over $300. Also curious how they will hide the rolling eyeballs behind the head and if the hair seam is super visible. Cannot see from the photos--and he also looks like he is a foot and a half taller. Double LED Sabers? cannot wait to see how bright they shine.

Feels like when they released the Mando Scout Trooper before the eventual ROTJ version people actually wanted. It's kinda like ROTS Sidious and you'll be able to have it in hand a year or two before a potential ROTS version.

Nice figure. Easy pass for me, much prefer the RoTJ emperor version already on my shelf.

The head sculpt is really great. I think the reference they used is the scene from ROTS when he reveals himself to Anakin. It’s the look he gives Anakin after he says “and save your wife from certain death.”

The sculpt is pretty spot on but the reason it can look off in certain angles is due to Yixie (or due to Hot Toys request) sculping it to this one specific frame from ROTS.
