I don't think magnets wear off over time unless they're either incredibly cheap or if they accumulate a lot of oils and grease on them. I've never had a magnet fail on me before unless it's been those really crappy tiny one's.

And you can get very good small ones. A lot of my premium OC Steel books have very strong magnets on the flaps. I've not worry for them.

My only concern is the magnet will be too strong

I keep thinking about this figure. It's fun. Real hair, rolling eyes, magnetic attachments -- not to mention what appears to be insane tailoring. (still like to see the suspenders)

I'll admit, I didn't really want two full figures... but I can't say I've ever been so happy to spend anything close to this amount on my collecting habit before. Maybe one Indy item before this.

And this pack has really jumbled up my collecting thoughts, desires and future considerations.

I hear people who buy straight from inart get joker poker cards? I want some

Better have it then resell than not have it and feel regretful

Im in the same boat as you. Even think that I want to have 2 figures afterall. But considering every thing you mention I wonder why they dont make the shoes from real material too.

for sure. I definitely reevaluated my collection some this weekend and put a great deal on the chopping block. I think if anything, this figure makes you think about what you want out of your collection and what you want it to potentially look like going forward

That is always an option -- and a really good one probably for many.

But I like the idea of having both looks. I also really like that idea posted of turning the bars in front of Joker in the detolf, so he looks truly caged.

Also fun to imagine Hot Toys sweating a little behind the scenes, hopefully.

Healthy competition is important.

Not sure. Maybe the money for it went elsewhere. Maybe they just can't get that suede look in anything thin enough to not look bulky.

Same could be said about the gloves -- why not real leather? I'm guessing molding the hands and adding leather over is impossible to look right.

I have some real "leather" black gloves that I love on a figure or two. It really only works if you can tolerate the bendy hands inside.
