I'm continually amazed how people here can remember which figures the various DXs or MMSs refer to. I remember the DX13 because I just bought it, but for the life of me couldn't tell you what any of the others are. :p

You must be aware of the level of **** retentiveness among a large section of the community on here by now, surely? ;)

I remember a few, not all, including DX13 Terminator :) MMS, fuggedabout it, not even for the ones I own - that's what search engines are for.

That's funny, I was thinking the same thing.

I'd say most of their Marvel line will prove to be way more popular. The hat and revolver are the only two parts from the DX that I would ever consider.

Certainly you can salvage more than that from the set? Especially of you're comparing it to the Sideshow figure. The jacket needs work but I'd take it over the Sideshow version. Same goes for those awesome shoes. Along with the side bag and shirt.....

Not really, I'm happy with the SSC Jacket and pants. I already have a custom belt and holster and I have a shirt and shoes. That doesn't leave much from the DX that I really need.

Eh... I revisited the Sideshow jackets recently and I actually kind of like them a little more than the HT now. None are really a bullseye. Love the HT boots, pants and manbag though. HT Shirt... is okay. I bought two of the HT stone podiums cheap to (eventually) make a correctly sized podium. Neither the SSC or HT ones are really correct, though the SSC is cooler than the HT.

^ Agreed about neither HT or Ssc is up to snuff, but the Sideshow jacket is very cheap looking even modified/weathered imo. Something can be salvaged from the Hot Toys jacket. Ya gotta beat the hell out of it though.

@ rogerbee Ah. Got it. I still need to pick up a custom belt and holster. Im always putting it off to sink the money into something else.

I bought the toys McCoy Indiana jones. it has some cool stuff I will probable upgrade some of it with the mix of hot toys parts to make it look even better

I was referring to original sculpts, like the custom Pitt Fury thats now out, the first few headplay sculpts, etc...
a GREAT looking young indy would sell tons

It would sell tons among us, but not necessarily in the Asian market where a lot of this type of sculpt originate. This is why there are so many Pitt, Downey Jnr and Vin Diesel sculpts around, guaranteed sellers anywhere. Outside of the majors the only attempt made at Harrison Ford in Asia that I really recall was the Headplay one.

How would the Club Obi Wan scenes in TOD have gone down among an Asian audience? He skewers and shoots their countrymen so possibly not well. Indy is iconic to those of us that love the movies, but, we have to accept that it won't be everybody's cup of tea. Han Solo gets away with it because he shoots aliens and there could be anyone under the Stormtrooper armour.

We have to count ourselves lucky that we get what we do and make the best of it we can

My set is by Stevo's Toys and apart from the gun the rest is top notch and very well priced. He does rigs from the first 3 though I'm not sure about KOTCS.

Welcome to Stevo's Toys

I really don't know how people feel about this, but why isn't there ever any talk about the SS KOTCS headscuplt? I think for all the misses people talk about, I think that one is pretty good. Granted its kinda a weird expression, but every time I look at it, it's totally Indy.
Again, just what I think.

To me, that sculpt is among the weakest. It's huge and the hat is tiny, probably looked the worst on the Prometheus body it was given. Not even repaints could really save that one. Aside from being tiny, the Medicom KOTCS sculpt wasn't half bad and I have seen some pretty decent repaints done of that.

I don't know though. I've always liked that sculpt, there's been some good LC bashes using a KOTCS head.

I played around with it on a muscle body a few years ago and it looked pretty good:

I just switched mine out to a gi joe flint body, and it looks pretty good. I'm super happy I didn't get rid of it.

By the way, this one looks boss. Good job. I'm stuck using the original clothes. Doesn't bother me too much, with the exception of having the ROTLA jacket. I bought the whole figure hoping to just get that jacket, but ended up receiving it with the first version jacket. Uggghh....... And then the guy tried to play dumb, acting like he "didn't know"

I would have said the exact opposite (funny how subjective this is.) The Medi KOTCS to me never really looks like Indy at all, even with a repaint; just some old guy. The SSC one I think really captures Indy in a painful grimace, though I agree on the hat being tiny - and a bit oddly shaped.

If there's one issue I have with the SSC KOTCS Indy is that the expression adds to the age for some reason and makes him look a little too old overall, like an old dude chomping on his dentures.

The other sculpt no one ever mentions is the German Indy, which actually looks like HF but is sorta cartoony. And oversized too.
