These are great shots from RS...just had to quote 'em again....
Grievous looks....good. I like the way the cape fits...I don't think it's too short...the pose here is much more "upright" than the way he was featured in most scenes in the movie...he was either hunched over, pacing, or almost in a crouch (during duels/fights)....that made the cape seem/look longer. That "pacing" kind of pose, with hand sweeping cape behind him, is the one I'm hoping can be acheived with the figure (remember "Holo-Sidious" encounter scene)....

I like the look of the white body parts...have a feeling the flash in the pics is washing out the detailing a bit (anyone who saw it at the show care to comment please?) and it looks sturdy enough. Looks like plenty of articulation, right down to the hands. I'm hoping for "swap-out" arms...I think structurally, they might work better than snap-together ones. I also agree with the comments about the area around the eyes lacking a bit and the gut-sack looking a little too "toy-like"...again, hard to judge from pics...but if that was indeed the production figure on display there....well...it looks pretty good.

Could finally have a use for that exclusive gun that came with the ROTS Kenobi all those years back....and how about that electrostaff? The ole' heart skipped a beat at the thought that Sideshow might have the Magna Guards on the drawing board....

Sideshow's proven they've got it down with the droids....the battle droids have been terrific (where are those red-toned "Geonosis" ones, Sideshow?) and hopefully the long wait for Grevious means they've got this one worked out well too.

I just hope he's not a real budget breaker....but these days, the prices just keep inching up, so we'll see...

Still a little let down by the paint apps, but he does look really good in that video.
My only other whinge is that I wish some of those ball joints where less obvious.

I don't mind the ball joints since they all blend in to his mechanical-ness. I thought that articulated stand sounded interesting. I'm curious to see how that turns out as well.

I wonder why or how this figure got such a great video made of it. I wish they would have done this kind of thing for all their reveals!

I reckon we got a vid because this is a finished item.

Maybe all the rest are still WIP???

Or maybe I'm clutching at straws here :dunno

Agreed... the video really shows off how nice this is going to be. Gotta feeling that $200 is no longer happening :lol

$200?!? :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

:(

Seriously, I remember that little tag at the SDCC two years ago, and thinking $200 was expensive (but maybe justifiable) back then. Now $200 would be a steal!

That's pretty freakin impressive! Looks like a **** ton of development went into it, I agree, $200 looks like a pipe dream now :lol

Maybe they need to justify the $300 price tags they are going to ask for it.....:rotfl
Just my guess.

Remember when Sideshow used to have videos of their figures? A Sideshow person would introduce the figure and go over a few things about it, and it would be posted along with the photo gallery and the 360 view. I don't think they were as thorough as this one was, though. They really ought to do that again. It truly helps sell the piece when you see it in someone's hands and see how it handles and what it can do, which is why all those unboxing videos are so popular and help people make final decisions about buying a particular figure.

Video is especially important with a figure like this. Get to see how it moves, the way the arms swap out and even that the electrical arcs on the staff are removable.

I was a bit let down by the photos from SDCC, but this video has moved Grievous back into the "definite purchase" category.

agree with galactic boys. from the photo it looks like a cheap toy lol but with the video on review it look great

:exactly: Same with me.

Nice. as I suspected, it's a production piece. What are we thinking, Deluxe Vader pricing? 249?

I'd LOVE to ee 200$ again, but I doubt it.
