SSC has been pretty good with issues I had in the past with their figures... They sent me a new Gen. Hawk head sculp when it was all scratched....they replaced Zartan's bow when the one that came with the figure had a crack on it....they sent me a new black ninja sword when mine had paint rub all over it... All no questions asked. Their customer service is amazing. Based on all the feedback from everyone here that the shoulders were very difficult to move...I do expect the paint to have some problems with chipping, wear off, etc. However, if I'm paying that much $ for this...I should determine whether or not I want to move the shoulders and do the damage myself...not get a fig from someone else that has done this damage. Just principle I guess.

What's more upsetting is that they could have checked out the item before it was shipped.

But I'm waiting for their response....:impatient:

Mine arrived today (flex-pay) and all I have to say is that it took heating AND a WRENCH (yes, a wrench) to move those &^$%(&^%$&^% shoulders...

Oh, and I love the base-- using it with my Hurricane custom ESB Luke with light-up saber... looks amazing with the lights out.

So I received my Ex. IG88 on Friday. It came in a big cardboard box, not the std IG88 box. The figure's box was in great condition, but when I opened it, the plastics that hold the figure and accessories had either cat or dog hair all over them.

IG's inner shoulder joints had a lot of paint wear - has anyone here experienced any paint rub from moving his arms around?

His right knee joint has a crack on each side. I called SSC and emailed them some pics. Waiting to see what they tell me.

So this was definitely a return item...very disappointing...I mean, if I'm charged that much for a figure, I could at least get one that has been untouched or damaged.

I got mine when it was released. I had paint wear at the ball joints right out of the box. They sent me a replacement which also had paint wear as bad or worse. They let me keep both (I was supposed to destroy the original) and gave me a small credit of $25.

So SSC responded and their options were... A $35.00 credit for any item or $30.00 credit back to my cc or return the item for a refund...

I'm trying to decide what to do. I guess I will look over the figure once again and see if it's worth it. So if I decide on the credit it breaks down to about $154 for the exclusive including shipping and the paint wear and knee cracks. If it was possible to buy the lower left leg and replace it....I wouldn't mind as much.

Decisions, decisions...

Figured Sideshow was going to ship you a reg, let you keep the vibroaxe and smash your IG. Personally, I could live with chipped paint at the shoulder (like others have said, I guess some chipping there is inevitable if you're going to articulate it) but don't think I'd be OK with the cracked knees.

Really surprised SSC didn't inspect this fig when it came back and replace IG-88's body with a new one from a reg package before sending out. Either that or sell it upfront from their damaged section with a discount.

So was I... I wonder if they would go for a swap if I suggest it to them....probably not since they made their offer. Kind of disappointed. It's the newest fig. I have and haven't been crazy about it b/c of the issues. I agree wih you...I can live with the paint wear but not the cracked knees. I can glue them.....but....that just seems weird to do on a "new" figure.

OK, so this is a newb question, but I've read that the shoulders have an issue, I assume it's the same as mine, they don't move, but it looks almost as if it was a single piece on the body,
is that the case or does it indeed move?

Yes they move, the paint cured to the socket and its hard to move. Once I got mine to move the paint rubbed off which is fine looks weathered now.

How are those sandtrooper binoculars going Lopie?

Yes they move, but it takes some force, maybe a lot of force. Mine move fine now.

Thanks guys!
Just to clarify before doing anything stupid.. :lol

It's the "Swivel Shoulder" from this pic right?
Mine simply won't budge, so I'll try the hairdryer trick...
