I got my invoices last night. I guess the phone order cancellation didn't register in time. I wonder if they'll finally catch it when they are handing two of them to me at the con.

Why release another prequel figure on the 30th ESB anniversary?

I don't get the reasoning at all, I think some of the clone figures look excellent but I have no interest in them whatsoever. Yet we wait for a Fett?

It's a very easy/simple re-paint of something that's already out and everybody demanding ESB stuff this year will just end up crying if SS would've released the first ESB as an SDCC Exclusive

There has been a lot of speculation on this very subject in this thread.

Myself, I do not care in what order the figures come out. I just want each release to be awesome. And so far, there are few that have not been (at least, to me).

Bah. SDCC Exclusives from Sideshow are never truly exclusives anyway. All of the SW ones to date could be easily ordered for Non-Attendees. I'm tired of that straw man excuse.

Actually most SDCC Exclusives are that way and have been so for several years now.

Oh, I know. Just sayin'. People keep bringing that up as a canard, as if Sideshow's SDCC Exclusives are any harder to obtain for Non-Attendees. Hell, they probably have it easier than we do... since they don't have to lug the items around the con and bring them back home. It's a dumb excuse, regardless. These items are con "exclusives" in name only. Any one who would complain about something cool being a Sideshow SDCC Ex. is a plebe.

They are by far the easiest to get for either party or at least has been my experience. People want hard they need to deal with Hasbro or Mattel. I agree easier for NA in that they don't have to drag stuff around among the masses. Right they're exclusives in the sense they get a logo for the show not because you can "only" get them there.

OMG, yes... the Hasbro and Mattel lines.

And remember the DC Direct Green Lanterns fiasco last year?

I wish all of the companies made it as easy as Sideshow for con exclusives. Sadly, though, I think most like the notion of their items being so damned ridiculously hard to obtain.

Kudos to Sideshow for doing this right, and for many years now.

That Green Lantern nonsense was that nonsense. Not the best plan laid out by DC.

I do too. It would really really make things easier for us especially at the show. Much more relaxed and fun.

I am very interested to see how my double-order plays out. One of them says collect and go, the other does not. But niether was charged a shipping fee, so I assume that There will be two of them at the booth for me.
