Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

Blue or brown jacket, I always remember it looking blue onscreen but knew it was brown on set or something.

I'm more worried about how Sideshow's Han headsculpt is going to turn out.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

I think in the end, this discussion serves to point out how no matter what Sideshow chooses for the color of the coat, some people are going to be disappointed. Maybe they can make the blue version an exclusive of some kind, the way Gentle Giant did with their mini-bust.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

Just hope it's made with natural fibers, which will then be easy to remove color from and dye.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

They could include both colour Jackets, the correct colour has been a debated topic for years.

THe Tauntaun looks fantastic, I might get one.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

If they include two coats, they may still use two incorrect colors. ;)

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

Imo the coat is a greyish blue with touches of brown. If they show this and it looks good I am instantly preordering. Han or Luke on a Tauntaun would be ridiculously awesome.

Agreed... 2 coats I the way to go. Although I think just making that standard would be best and make something a little less important/debated the exclusive. I was just watching the Harmy and it does really look like the jacket is generally brown, but there are also scenes where it does have a blue look, especially when it's seen on a white background.

But my personal preference is blue and I'm sure that is heavily due to the Kenner figure :lecture

Kenner is the gold standard.

Always and forever...

I don't know anything, I just want these for my Clones!

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

This is awesme. One question though.

Do we have to squeeze the figures feet and shove them into the collapsing TaunTaun back to ride? :yess:

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

In three days we may find out how many years we'll have to wait for any of the discussed figures, including the Taun Taun, to become available - if at all.

Or they could be like Grievous where we see them in all their glory and then we go two additional SDCC's without a preorder.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

Blue or Brown, the EX will be one or the other... Kenner Hoth Han is my all time favorite, so I'll display the blue.

Big question is, do SS give these any snow weathering?
