jjosdom....you weren't kidding...that box is MASSIVE!

james the cat....Luke looks great there. Inching closer to pulling the trigger here on this beast...but still need to see how Luke (& Han) turn out in the ones I've ordered. There's just been a lot of variety in the pics showing up so far.

The tauntaun looks really good here though....

Was this in stock at SSC? I'm trying to see if it's under shipping now but all I see is preorder. Did you guys get yours direct from Sideshow?

How are you guys displaying/ planning on displaying your Taun tans? I only have detolfs and its too big for a detrolf from what I understand?

Tauntauns are brilliant, of all the Star Warsy things there are, Tauntauns are in the top 5. I keep sneaking into this thread and sneaking out again before I get... THE URGE.

Been stalking this site a while, finally have something to post. :)

My Tauntaun showed up last Friday. Overall, I'm very pleased. The detail is great. I'm just working out where best to show it. It barely fits on top of the shelf where I keep my other 1/6 Star Wars.

I'm mainly writing though to share some issues that I did see with quality. The straps on both of the cases came unglued immediately uppon taking from the packaging. Also, the one cloth square case does not have the small metal clips that the blankets etc have to clip to the saddle. It seems it should have one. Since Sideshow includes no instructions, I have no idea of it's missing the clip, or if it's just a poor design.

Would you guys just glue them back on yourselves, or go after sideshow to fix? I want to keep it as mint as possible. Not sure anyone would ever be able to tell if I just glued it myself. I just never saw exactly where they are supposed to be, so a little worried they will not sit exactly right.

Not sure who is going to ride Taun first, till Han gets here...

Sadly, I've gotten so used to the glue on small items like this coming undone sooner or later (from both Sideshow and Hot Toys) that I've ended up with a modest arsenal of glues for minor fixes like this.

But, if you're not comfortable handling this kinda repair, I would contact Sideshow for a replacement, especially considering the Tauntaun's asking price.

You can see where they were factory glued exactly by the glue residue on the packs & the dark glue mark on the straps.

Drop of super glue and it's better than new - or you can jump through the replacement hoops, wait a month and have new ones that will probably break again. Your call.

got mine in as well now.. it looks very nice.. but the seam is really stupid ....

I'm gonna display mine upside down like it's been caught by a wampa. Hope it's not heavy.

I think a small piece of velcro should hold it......lol

Seriously though, if you own an Indiana Jones figure, can you take a photo like your avatar? That would be epic.
