Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

I will have to check the images again, the only thing I did was auto contrast but that was it! Our one was quite bright green, but your right it looks alot more bright green on my monitor at home! I will see what I can do sorry guys

Yeah, sometimes auto contrast will do some crazy stuff... I usually don't use it as it tends to make the pictures I take look off.

The whole Figure was repainted and weathered.

Awesome repaint, Greggo. Just shows how bad Sideshow bungled it. Wish they's actually look at some reference images instead of just making this stuff from memory. "Oh, Yoda is GREEN..."

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

I have just found out what I have done I have saved them in CMYK not RGB thats why the green is so green sorry guys

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

GREGGO, Fantastic job! If Sideshow posted that for sale, I would have ignored any "off-ness" I had with it and bought him. I never even considered the color of Yoda to be an issue but clearly, it was.

Still... I think I have been pushed to the err of picking this one up. You guys win. Sorta.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

Oh and p.s. can you give some hints on how you weathered it? I would have just pissed on it and called it a day.

kl241, when you finally get your Yoda, hopefully you'll realize how bad you're looking, and stop with the trolling, inaccurate SSC hate posts about Yoda's color.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

The sculpt is a beautiful sculpt IMO the best Yoda. At the end of the day us collectors are buying mass produced items and as far as I'm considered what we get out of the box is fantastic, so I think its a great job by Sideshow :)

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

Beautiful repaint, Greggo!
If I had that kind of talent I would probably go for the lighter green but the truth is Sideshow's factory paint is far better than what I could do.
It is interesting how folks with the skill to do better can still admire the good work Sideshow does as opposed to those who latch onto every negative and make a board career out of bemoaning them. I guess we all get something different out of this hobby. :lol

I agree with you I love what sideshow do and I always will, at the end of the day I dont mind repainting anything, I just follow reference very closely. I have recently repainted and made a full custom Jack Sparrow using Hot toys figure. I just make sure al my customs and customers get a work of art. None of this wouldnt be possible with out Sideshow and Hot Toys so thank you to both of them.

I already got him. The green paint is totally inaccurate. Greggo, how much do you charge for repaints? I'd be more than happy to send mine to you.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

Gotta give Yoda two thumbs up. Color and eyes are awesome. Pics and review are done.

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

I'm really digging the log accessory... much more fun than a standard base that wouldn't have worked for him anyway.
