Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

It's a hard wait as I sit waiting for my Canadian retailer to get this... Oh, and two of you are fighting like Jerry and Elaine-- let me be Kramer...

Mine is supposed to come tomorrow. This is the first Star Wars figure I've gotten in over a year (since Clone Wars Anakin, which I frankly regret buying -- at least at full retail).

I do think Yoda looks too green based on the pictures here, but it's not something I'm going to lose a lot of sleep about. It may even be something dictated by Lucasfilm, since they seem to like to come up with "official" versions of the characters, and these tend to be composites of how they appear in the OT and the PT (just like this figure is, both in terms of color and sculpt).

I wonder if that might be the case... in some ways the Sideshow sculpt almost looks like an idealized/CGI version instead of getting the exact look of the puppet.

Could be a style choice, could be a dictate... but either way the final product is still great looking :rock

Just got my Yoda. He looks perfect out of the box. The green is a little dark but no where near the neon lime green we've seen in some photos. Eyes seem to painted perfectly as well. Very happy with the green little guy. :hi5:

Now to do some futzing on his robes and the snakes...

Sorry for the bad pic...in the middle of getting dinner ready.

Digging the natural light shots, guys! I'm sold. Local comic shop has it for $62.99. I think I'll get it this weekend.

WINNING.

And that vintage yoda figure is the cutest thing ever.

Very sad indeed. :monkey2

But you're right, I'll see him soon...providing the little woman at home doesn't hide him as a joke! :gah:

May the Shipping Gods smile upon you and your online supplier, DN! :hi5:

Re: Sideshow 1:6 TESB Yoda & Dagobah Hut Environment!

Just got mine today. Boy, they really scrimped on the packaging!

No bubble-wrap and indeed there are twist ties and tape instead of a shell cover.

But yeah, who really cares...lol

As for the figure itself, the green is a bit off and should have had more gray in the color to get it right. The likeness isn't bad at all but where it's off is on the sides of the head as they are too flat.

All in all, it's a great figure and being my favorite character, I'm glad to have the exclusive in my collection.

Edit: Almost forgot! LOVE the log! I hope SS continues to include these type "bases" instead of the other plain stands.

Now I wait for my CV prize - the regular Yoda and his Hut! :wink1:
