yea that's what i liked about that yoda........plus aotc had just come out & he had that pissed look like DM mentioned as if to say "BRING IT".........still a shame he didnt come with a lightsaber....

If you can get a good price on the MR .45 scale Yoda saber it's a good size for him.

Outstanding figure in person, a real presence and expression. It's a real life-like quality/vibe to the eyes/face that "feels" like Yoda somehow - not sure how else to describe it - it certainly didn't come across in the pics as much.

Agreed. He's really difficult to photograph.

Really... sickly ashen Yoda is preferable to a fairly deep and detailed paint job?

Ok..well I have both Yoda's and they both have their positives and negatives..but if you are going to compare the two..compare non altered ones..no offense..but the repaint on this medi yoda is terrible...Hulk Smash!

No offense, but that is kind of a d!ck thing to say about someone's repaint (not my work mind you, but the very talented Darkartis81). But aside from that the repainted version is far superior to the half-assed job Medicom did, of course no offense to you poor taste in figures

I finally got around to opening up Yoda tonight even after having it for a week and I have to say it's probably my favorite Sideshow 1:6 figure to date. Seeing it definitely made me smile and think back to the old Hasbro days. I wasn't too thrilled about the dozens of twist ties to undo but then again being an avid collector of THE DEAD it wasn't really new in terms of SSC. I love the log and the orange snake looks fantastic around his neck. Minimal futzing needed and I will agree that it's a shade too green compared to what we've seen on screen but I blame that more on LFL than I do SSC since they call all the shots.

Only one thing could made it perfect, multiple heads. I would have forgone the log or even paid more to get a couple of various heads from the Force concentrate look:

to the eyes more closed, open mouth look:

That would have been perfect. All in all I'm glad I didn't pass and still am smiling look over at him while I type this.

The closed eyes force look would have been an excellent addition

Definately would have paid extra for a closed eyes headsculpt!!

Yup. Iris on the left eye is noticably bigger than the right, and they're pointing in two different directions. Also, there's a flaw in the eyelid shading on the right side. I figured I could fix that myself, but the rest is beyond my abilities.
