Damn 4th quarter. All my 3rd qtr stuff has been pushed back to 4th:monkey4

4th qtr is gonna be stacked.

It seems like Q2 and Q4 tend to be the big shippers, and Q1 and Q3 the big premier times, at least with Sideshow.

Well, I guess one more month gives me another month to save up for the exclusive I pre-ordered for the 1/6 scale Indy. :gun November now...instead of October. I hope the extra month gives them more time to fix the "beard". I want my Indy to be scraggly and have the "five-o-clock" shadow...but not a full beard. :whip

Well November now eh?, that means I may just get them for Christmas,(in the UK). If I'm lucky, thank you Sideshow, I sometimes wonder why I bother!!

All very true. I think the main reason is the brand new body. Just look at the wait of the hobbits but I think this will turn out amazing.

Yep, just look at how the wait for the hobbits resulted in so many cancelled orders the exclusives remained available on the site for ages. I'm glad they're trying to make sure we get the best available product instead of just rushing something out, and sometimes production delays are inevitable - but there comes a point where excessive delays kill enthusiasm. I think they've reached that point for me now - I now want to see a production sample, not because I am anxious for the figure anymore, but because unless the likeness through the paintjob is improved ten-fold I'll be cancelling it where I previously would have kept the order and perhaps tried for a repaint.

Nothing will kill my enthusiasm for this figure... I've been wanting a 1/6 Indy for years and really thought it might never happen. Short of the figure being a total turd when it shows up I'll be a happy camper :rock

I haven't been waiting years, only months since I just recently found Indy, but I agree, the enthusiasm for this one will only die if it turns out poor or something else comes along quicker. To me, the SSC 1/6 Indy is the best mass produced Indy available, even though no Takara images are out yet (last I checked), based on their Batman Indy won't be as realistic as the Sideshow. If you're going to get a 1/6 Indy, to me, this is THE figure to get. I can't wait to get it and I just hope it all comes out well.

I have my doubts that the headsculpt from Takara will be as nice... that's not something they are known for.

Well, my experience is limited to Batman, but he demonstrates poor likeness and more toylike paint apps than Medicom, and for the money their Indy tentatively costs, that's a hard thing to swallow unless Indy is a breakthrough piece.

If all the bits are executed right on the SSC figure, should be a totally satisfying figure.

Honestly, I don't think we'll have Indy in our hands until next year. It's a gut reaction and I hope I'm wrong, but we will see.

If we don't have Indy in hand before Christmas, I'd be really stunned. Hobbits took a long time, but Indy seems like he'd be easier, unless something continues going wrong for some reason with the production samples, i can't see him taking that long.

Well looking at their female figures and past males they usually have a very doll-like quality. Although I think the recent Jin Roh figures were more realistic... but still not up to Sideshow or HT quality.

With ya there GB. Never thought we'd get such a fantastic looking Indy. My fears where put to rest seeing the proto in person.

I actually figured out what to do with my extra head finally. I have a Relic Hunter figure that had its leg broken that I plan to dress an HT True Type and put the unfedora'd head on and then have him hold the Gentle Giant 1/6 Hat in his hand that came with the crate. Should be interesting to see what they'll look like next to each other since a huge majority of people used the Relic Hunter as a custom Indy base.

You do know there's a loose hat with this SSC figure too right?

Eh, I went and picked up a Gentle Giant crate anyways (stones and grail) so that my Indy will have a complete set of film artifacts (minus the crystal skull, but I'm not paying for second one.) It's funny, I've got this whole setup ready for my Indy but still months away from having him.
