If "god" is that insecure that he must punish children because of changes in rules than IMO he is no God and I will do everything in power to fight such evil. I also don't believe that God wanted good souls to meet him in heaven. Also if god works that way I certainly want no affiliation with such being. I can't answer for God...but God is Sovereign! He did not create evil,but he apparently allows it....Do you honestly believe God was "insecure" and so evil that he caused this tragedy? God cannot sin,nor does he do evil for good,though he has used wicked men in history for his purpose and glory (like Pharoah and Moses,as God hardened Pharoah's heart)

Thats what I was getting at earlier - people's rationalisations - ''god must have needed new angel's in heaven''...now if people really believe that why aren't they thinking it through to the inevitable conclusion that God was complicit in the slaughter of these children and the consequent condemning of their families to a living hell on earth? Couldn't agree more. I'm Catholic and I still cant believe some of the **** people say about taking God out of school is the reason this happened. Thats total ****ing bull****. How many times do little kids get killed and people just claim it as there is a reason behind everything and God would never give you too much that you can't handle. Well I'm sorry, but if I lost my kid in such a horrible way I honestly don't think I could handle that. I just don't see why God would need to bring these little children to him so early. Times like these really make people question their faith. Why on earth would God allow 20 innocent little kids to be brutally murdered what because prayer was taken out of school? I just cant buy into that. It makes me sick thinking about it.

Obviously the individual who did this horrible thing was in a terrible state of madness that took all rational thought away from him...and his whacked out mind (who knows what he has been through in the past or present) was just too over powering for him to control.
This is still a terrible thing he did I mean killing those kids that is just something I can never understand. I just hope this guy is either put to Death or better yet...sentenced to life in a small cell surrounded by some mean ass lifers who will give him a taste of real Hell for the rest of his pathetic life.
I can only wish the families of the victims the best. I mean just to try and imagine what they are going through is impossible. This World is getting so bad I hate watching the news. I mean something has got to give.

His mom owned the guns. He stole them and killed her. We can safely table all gun control discussion.

This man willing to kill his own mother several random adults and dozens of children. Sure some guns are more powerful than others, but is that the real problem here? Not for a minute.

Ah, shouldn't the guns be locked up in a safe with only the licensee holder having the combination to open it up? Ammunition should also be stored in a separate place.

I'm not anti gun, my mum owns one, but I don't see why people should be allowed to have high powered automatic weapons. They just inflict too much damage on too many people in a short period of time.

Things like this shouldn't happen because normal people shouldn't be able to get their hands on these sorts of weapons.

But I don't live in America, so it has nothing to do with me.

This whole post pretty much sums up your thoughts on the whole God matter. You say it right here God can and will intervene if prayer is stopped. For one thing it's not a fact. Whose to say these kids don't pray at home? Just because they aren't praying at school doesn't mean they aren't church going Christians,Muslims, Jews or whatever other religion you want to throw out their. I will never believe that God purposely kills innocent babies when they have no control over what they can and can not do such as praying at school.

I am not Religious but I do try and respect those who are...it just seems as if many (not all) religious people are full of ****.
If this offends any religious people then just try remembering what you read in the Bible and forgive me and love me for what I am.
I believe it also says something about loving the sinner but not the sins. Whoever wrote the Bible definately had a good message...it is just a shame that most who do read it do not get that message.
