Well, ultimately, there weren't enough shots of SL3 that fit together featuring the industrial elements, without marines or aliens blocking your main view of it. You take in the room as a whole as you watch the movie, but when you go through it frame by frame, it's tough finding ample clean plates to work from, even what I've done, I recycles elements simply because there weren't enough clear shots of the pieces that would fit together.

I gotcha MF, it is a stunning Image...

Thanks, I had hoped to have more industrial things, it dissappointed me when I started taking grabs and had a tough time. If I get time down the road, perhaps I can create industrial elements froms scratch, but that'll take a long time so not just yet. Once my warrior comes, I'm going to add it into the backdrop in places.

I just logged into my account to cancel an item and it shows both my Aliens warriors and Terminator Endos are listed as "Contact to cancel" so apparently these are shipping soon from Sideshow?

Pretty sure they are bendy WG.

Must be that one set is bendy... and the second set is a fixed "hard" mold of the hands. The fixed mold would give you better angles on the knuckles that would be hard to achieve on the bendy.

Not likely, I would hope anyway, I still have Endo on order and haven't gotten any notice about it coming in, and even with HT I've gotten notices before, I did with First Blood Rambo. Dave were they on the same order as something else you may have already gotten?

Yeah dude, and with no 30 day... doesn't sound right. Call CS, they're still open...

A second hard mold pair is cool too, good to have options...

Thanks again MF for your efforts, much appreciated. I hope we can figure that SL3 out; that's where the Aliens were and that environment is most appropriate for back drop posing with figs...

Maybe there's some other software out there. I have friends who do CGI and they just erase foreground images and fill in the blanks.. but that kind of software could get expensive I imagine...

I have multiples of each one on seperate orders. Why would I have to contact them to cancel? I'm not going to cancel them but I just happened to notice it when I went to cancel my order for Clubber and thought maybe they were getting ready to ship.

Dave, I just looked at my cancel page, and my Endo doesn't show that, sounds like it's your account specific, I'd call them and find out what's going on. I cancelled my Warrior to get it from Toys2 faster, so I can't comment on that one.

High quality CGI software can range from $1000-$6000, thankfully Photoshop is only about $500.

I feel kind of indifferent to this release. On the one hand we finally have an Aliens Warrior, and much of it looks good, but there's just too many inaccuracies and the finish at least from the pictures looks a little chewed up. It might look better in hand and I will definitely get at least one, but I feel this character/costume design/monster deserves a little more accuracy in the representation.

The multiple hands are puzzling. I can't see why we would need them if there's bendy versions included. This has the same ball joint type hip as the AVP release so they're not cut joints but the way the hips are sculpted the movement might be really restricted.

One look at this is all I need to know I want at least a dozen of these in my Aliens hive:

Dude, that is some serious cash you're talking about there, more power to ya though, I'm barely managing the one.

I've got 2 on order from SS and now I'm thinking of getting one early from Toy2. I can't afford them all anyway but it is a goal to shoot for. I plan on picking up more here and there down the road but I need AT LEAST 3 to start with.

Sad.

Best ALIENS Warrior ever made!? Are you serious?
I don't mean to step on anybodies toes, but come on!

How can you be blinded by the hype?

Palisades was closest when it comes to accuracy. Though not a figure, the differences between Hot Toys and Theirs are clear.
Warrior_Alien-statue-l.jpg

They had the same references as H.T. and look at what they came up with.

Don't get me wrong, I am still getting one of the H.T.'s, but if you look at what they did with the Marines and Predators......this Alien leaves a lot of room for improvement.

I'm an alien nut, so believe me when I say...... not accurate.

Not sad to me... I love the look of this fig... and there's nothing anyone can say that will change that. Blinded by Hype? Please don't be so presumptuous with Ardent Collectors...

I'll repost my message here as well.
I'm completely with Facebox on this. It is inaccurate, and HT got the sculpt right on their 5" version! Why they couldn't do it on their 1/6 version is a complete mystery.
I'm getting one but it won't go down as the best from Hot Toys in my book.

Regardless of the picky inaccurracies, as a figure, this piece is deffinately a great deal better than the AVP warrior.

I still don't see what people are b!tchin about. It's not like this is Faramir or Yavin Luke. Now THERE'S something to cry about.

I can understand the complaints from the basis of yes, for the Snap Kits, HT really nailed it, so there's a precedent of success that could leave some wondering what happened with creating a 1/6 version, where other figures have no pre-existing piece from a company to compare to.

I really like how the paint scheme has the skeleton halloween suit look as it was described in the DVD bonus materials, I hope that it's use in the film works for me in photographing the figure to give highlights under low lighting conditions.

I'm in this camp...

This has been raised on various forums before and to be honest , I think the "not screen accurate" theory doesn't hold much water . What are we refering to ? The lycra and rubber suits worn by the performers or the animatronic puppets ? There were detail variations between all the different media used to bring the Alien warriors to life and as such , a definitive warrior doesn't really exist . It appears H.T have taken the best elements from the various versions and as far as I'm concerned , this looks superb and as good a 1/6 Xenomorph as we're likely to see . ( I've got a feeling I'm going to need more than one!):D

What I like about the 1:6 figure is that it looks more "organic" and not like the "halloween skeleton suit" worn by the stuntmen on the set. This definitely looks more biomechanically "natural."
