Oh Yeah Bro. The Crawlers... so cool you're getting a Hicks too.

Deffinately will take photos and mash em together to get a hive going, that's one of my favorite moments in the film, that and when the one curled up in a ball comes out of the wall and snatches the first marine, classic reveal shots.

As for Hicks, ya I'm really pumped, I've found the stoner head on eBay but I'm going to give the frontline a shot, I really like the expression to it.

Just so you know though, for the crawlers shot, I'll have to remove the tail-like fin from the base of the neck in order to bend it back far enough so it'll be slightly off-looking.

That shot will be so F'n cool I can't even think about it now. And the balled up Warrior scene was one of the if not THE most frightening moments in the film for me.

And Ban, nice shots man. Thanks Bro.

Thanks, when I feel like it(which means when I get off my lazy ass) I will get my 1:1 Alien head out and take some pics of both of them together.

OK, maybe I should have used a different word choice.

What I mean is.... what would you think if Hot Toys made an "interpretation" of their Predators. Wouldn't you have preferred a more screen accurate version like the ones you have now? Isn't that why you've customized your Marines?

Hhhh... :dunno

I just wish they "stuck to the script" and that it wasn't a artistic rendition.

Now that you bring it up, the Predators ARE an interpretation. If they were "screen accurate" then the AVP Preds would all look like oversized football players. Even the Predator 2 Pred looks a bit off from the screen version. The helmet is too short as well.

They're still not as far off as this.

Well, the one that always got to me when the films scared me was the chestburster, not even so much because it was frightening as it happened, but because it was something you couldn't out run. Not that I could outrun a warrior, but once the chest burster is in you that's it, you're good as dead, nothing you can do to stop it.

We had this discussion eons ago FB when the proto pics first came out, most of us accepted some design changes had been made. Some of us (including me, abake) wrote to HC and the HT design team to point out the differences but in the end, so many Warrior variants were used in the film (danceskin, etc) we were all just hoping HT would produce a cool looking fig and they did.

Not to mention like you said, between the rubber skin, the weight of the pieces, and the under body, the design for this figure had to also calculate a design that was optimum for maximum posing ranges and durability, where a 4" action figure has room for things to be done differently.

Guess I'll just have to make some images that shine the figure and make everyone forget about the debate :)

Exactly, hard to believe this thing is actually poseable too... that head is huuuuge, but yeah they pulled it off...

I mean, LOOK at this thing. It's amazing...

I wish Sideshow would make a 1/4 scale maquette of that.
