So I come home to four big boxes tonight - I always love that. In there was NOTLD zombie, Saucermen, I Was a Teenage Frankestein, I was a Teenage Werewolf, and Rondo. So I'm thinking I'll review either NOTLD or the Saucermen first...

before you properly review them could you post a pic of the Saucerment next to one of the others you got? Mine won't be here until tomorrow...

Just got an email telling me

"Message from AmokTime.com:
Hello from Amok Time, Thank you for your order. The Shipping price you were given was incorrect. The correct shipping costs are Express Mail; 43.00 and Priority; 40.00. Please contact us so we can ship you item immediately. Thank you, Amoktime.com

I Was a Teenage Werewolf 12in Collectors Figure: None."

Haven't a clue what they are trying to tell me. Either they can't fulfill my pre-order or what. Their email is very vague. They never gave me a shipping price. How could it be incorrect? So they are going to ship me a figure they have none of, and charge me the correct shipping for it are they??? They really are having an amok time, aren't they? :lol

I think they are just telling you that because the shipping price was different, they have to get your approval before they can ship.

My NOTLD had a busted shoulder right out of the box, so I can't review him for awhile :( They are replacing him quickly, however.

Oh, and just for you Jor...

I received my Gort & Klaatu on Thursday the 19th of September!
They look really good.
I have to do an in depth inspection today.
I will let you know how the sculpt and paint went.

very cool! can't wait for mine to arrive. anyone know what kind of body they're using? i'm thinking about switching mine out to the sideshow body since it's a little more lankier and taller

Michael, any chance of posting an image of the Saucermen basebody in your review? Curious if its a repro Mego, or something new.

I haven't seen the nude body but when I spoke with Paul at ToyFair it was planned to be a body similar to Majestic's with wrist articulation.

The bodies are 8" scale, but they use metal springs to hold the arms in place, not pegs/ball joints. That is similar to what Majestic used to use, but I'm not real comfortable with it - it reminds me too much of my Best of the West figures, and the plastic gets brittle over time and the harder metal springs tends to break it. Only time will tell.

The little bodies do pose well though. I'm not going to be able to show a nekkid saucerman though, because getting the hands off looks a little too dicey. There's a zipper in back to remove his pj's, but the hands have to pop off to make it work, and they aren't doing that without a hot water soak, and maybe not then. Using hot water would also make the peg going through the wrist soft, and I don't want to tear it.

I just ordered my Bill Heinzman NOTLD figure. I wasn't sure I wanted to pick up the NOTLD series but they are just toooo coool!

So plasic limbs... but rather than joints there is a wire connecting the two arms through the body? That's kind of an odd choice?

Is the neck ball jointed? Sorry to ask so many pre-review questions :lol

Nope, not for the Saucermen anyway.

The spring doesn't connect the two arms together, but each arm has it's own connecting it to something in the middle of the torso. At least that's how my NOTLD is (remember: broken arm), so I'm assuming that's the case with the springs on the shoulders of the 8" body.

Ah, I see... I didn't realize the regular 1/6 body was constructed that way... never even noticed it on the Majestic figures.
