Yeah, it's actually the first thing I noticed about it. I really like this as a whole but I'm waiting on some different pics of the sculpt.

Me too; I think it works for the Sith face, but it's much to extreme and vengeful for regular Anakin. The contortions are very powerful, but that's better used to convey his fall to the Dark side than to depict Anakin as a Jedi. I agree.

Interesting. While I don't think its the life-like match that the Aragorn PF is, I think the Anakin sculpt is still near perfect.

Lighter hair and more natural looking skin tones would help, but I think the sculpt is certainly there.

I think part of it is like the Captain said, his features are a bit too intense.

There's alot of little things that don't quite look right to me like the eyes and mouth and maybe how high the hair looks.

The 1:6 Anakin sculpt looks almost spot on Hayden to me.

Yeah, I think for me it's the expression. While it does look like Hayden, the expression is just too much for regular Ani, and the hair is just way, WAY too dark.

Like many I'm surprised SS hasn't shown a pic with the hood up. A lot of people remember Anakin in ROTS like this:

I'm beginning to wonder whether or not the fabric on the robe hangs properly enough to look good with the hood up. Remember the Leia PF? She had a couple of famous scenes in ANH with her hood up but the PF didn't really allow for her to be displayed that way. I wonder if that's the case for Anakin. It'd be a shame to have the Vader head and not be able to have him give his iconic scowl from beneath the hood.

Aha! See, that's the color his hair needs to be! That's how I would have my 1:6 figure look, lots of warm colors in it. That would really help the PF, as much as it would the 1:6.

I think I hear where you're coming from though. My wife commented about how evil he looked with either paint job. SS could have chosen a determined look that wasn't necessarily "good" or "evil" like this:

But I'm assuming they were concerned about making sure his expression worked for both regular and Sith eyes, and erred on the side of making him too dark. Remember he *did* look mighty pissed even when he was still "Anakin"....

Agreed 100%. I *really* hope SS fixes this, otherwise if I keep my order it'll be a repaint for sure.

Thank you for posting that shot, I was looking for that one in a decent size to do a side by side myself. It really shows what a fantastic representation the PF is, even without the Sith eyes. Now fix the hair SS!

i think the evil look with the regular eyes is perfect because it reminds me of when anakin and obi wan were exchangeing words before their epic lightsaber duel. he didnt have the sith eyes for that part. now im hoping for a ROTS obi wan PF.

Well I had Vader and Obi plugged in, but for some reason Obi's lightsaber stopped working and Vader's chest plate doesn't light up. So I stopped using them and figured there was no reason to only have Maul be able to light up and risk corrosion.

If Anakin has a plug in and Dooku eventually comes out holding a lit lightsaber and has a plug in I probably will put batteries in Maul.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I don't see Hayden, but I don't think it's the homerun that many people seem to think it is, in terms of likeness. Of course this is a very subjective thing, but there's just something about it (whether it be the paint job, the expression, or the hair color) that makes this piece a solid "meh" for me. I do get the feeling, though, that some relatively minor changes could dramatically improve the likeness.

I also agree that he looks way too evil in "Anakin" form. He should still have some of his good side in him, or what's the point in having two heads?

How in god's name can people be saying they don't see Hayden? I think we might need to get some eyes checked. Its so much a home run on sculpt and paint its not even funny.
