It is indeed difficult to find the characteristics in Hayden that set him apart. I think I probably always went in with the intention of establishing that impatience and frustration in the character, and kind of went overboard when I started thinking, "This guy is VADER!"
That said though, I'm actually pretty happy with the work, which is surprising to say, as I'm more commonly
not very happy with my sculpts before they leave the studio. I'm someone who LOVE'S to see the paint job and clothing though, so that usually gets me pumped about the piece.
In any case, none of the things I do are ever without flaws. (Oh I wish they were!) I'm hoping the likeness pieces start forming a little faster for me so I can hone in on their individual issues a little more. as it is I'm fiddling with things up the moment it gets put on a truck to Sideshow!
Out of respect to Sideshow, I shouldn't make the decision to show the headsculpt here. (with the Obi-Wan head, it's a bit different, since the collectible is finished and out there) You might see about asking Sideshow if they'll do a blog on the sculpture. I'm sure they'd consider it.
Thanks guys! for crits and praises, all are welcome and appreciated!
