Well im a big Noob here in sideshowfreaks..it was a good start for me with Anakin p.f. to expand my pf collection.you see here in Greece is very difficult to find them all and the most important the prices are too high

That's cool, the dudes on here are cool for the most part and Dave (Darklord Dave) is great. Just watch out for the b!tch!ng and Medicom vs. the world topics and you'll be all right.

I think that's what helped a lot with ROTS turning out so well, Spielberg aided GL on some scenes, I don't know what capacity, but he was involved.

As far as I know he only gave Lucas some ideas for the Anakin vs Obi-Wan and Palpy vs Yoda battles. I think the fight on the hovering platform was one of them.

The two scenes I heard Spielberg helped out with in ROTS was the Senate battle between Palps and Yoda and the Obi-Wan and Grevious fight on Utapau. Then Lucas trimmeda bit off the Spielberg-planned Grevious fight for pacing purposes.

I think Lucas said he let Spielberg "play" with the Anakin vs Obi-Wan animatics in "The Making of Revenge of the Sith" book.

The tunic is a purplish dark brown that leans more towards black in most lighting, the tabbards are black and the sash around his waist is the same dark shade as the tunic, while his robe is dark brown but not as close to black as his tunic.

Right, except the tabards are brown as well.

Hayden is not a bad actor at all. If you've seen him in different films you would realize that. You can blame Lucas for his crappy acting. Same with Natalie (she is a very good actress) and the man Samuel.

Good point, that's so true

I don't see it as bad acting (well most of it) I like to look at it as generations - I see the OT characters as say "modern times characters" -
we had a smuggler, farmer, and rather minor royalty in the OT and in the PT the characters are kinda "1920's royalty or social elite" with pompos Jedi knights, Senators and leaders. So i'm saying that each generation and class of character talks and acts different "wooden/stiffer :rotfl.
Vader, Obi Wan & Palpatine where all kinda stiff/wooden in OT anyway.
I like to think when GL was directing with the old "quicker more intense" that in the PT he used be more "wooden & fake" ur royalty if that makes sense:confused:

problem, as it was with the OT, was Lucas' lines. difference being the actors in those movies, from what I've read, said, "you want me to say that?....how about this instead...". the PT actors I don't think made the lines their own, except Samual Jackson demanding a purple lightsaber.

i love them all just the same though!

They look black to me, just pick up the temperature of the lighting they're in more than the cloth materials.

I agree that they are also brown. I don't think anything on Anakin's costume was black. Not even his boots. His glove was even brown.

I think Lucas commented on this before TPM even came out. Maybe before it was filmed... (I'm thinking around the time he spoke to Leonard Malton about filming the prequels in 1997ish) that the idea is to parallel the serials he loved as a child, the acting is meant to reflect that, and I for one don't have a problem with it.

::::The below is not directed to shocktrooper_au, but to everyone::::

As a matter of fact, without referring to The Godfather, Scarface, or any of those other films that armchair critics constantly (and blindly) refer to as classics, can any of the nay sayers actually articulate their discontent for the Prequels beyond the regular hyperbole we read over and over in forums? Can someone please show their credentials and compare the amazing acting in other films that helped weigh their opinion to dislike the Prequels as much as they claim to?

Really, to date, I've heard a lot of complaining over the years, but I've never heard a convincing argument to back up the complaints, and frankly, I'm almost ready to refuse to believe that there is such a thing. Bring it on. Start a thread and prove that the Prequels suck, but back it up.
