Thanks love. They probably won't take a blind bit of notice, but I think it still is worth people voicing their opinions over this.

The more the merrier really.

I don't know, companies do tend to listen. I see product get improved in certain areas because the consumers cried bloody murder pertaining to the flaws they saw. For example, the Buffy PF. Her hair had a lot of SideShow collectors up in arms, and guess what, SideShow came through and gave us a new revised version of her hair. Albeit, it wasn't a vast improvement and it still left a lot of us unsatisfied. In hindsight, maybe that wasn't the greatest example I could have used. But you get my point, companies do listen... sometimes.

So they should listen to us, we're the ones buying the product and slapping down a quarter of a grand each time. Scratch that, a third of a grand when you combine shipping costs. And if you're outside of the States, you can also add duties to those numbers as well. No wonder I am so broke after I buy one of these. lol

Excellent points, Eli. They do listen, and they do try (at least sometimes) to improve their products in response to customer comments.

Overall I am pleased with the Angel PF, but if they could smooth out the wrinkles and fix the eyebrows, I would be ecstatic. Everything else looks great, just as it is.

I know companies listen because I gave a few of them a piece of my mind, and they not only listened but I ended up getting freebies. These are not cheap freebies either. I have so many stories to tell, but I don't want to get into them because it makes the blood boil. I know we have all been there.

I got this email back from sideshow after making a request to fix the wrinkles and eyes etc:

Thank you for your e-mail to our Customer Service Department. Your feedback
is important to us and we appreciate that you took the time to reach us.

We will pass your comments along to the production team. If by the time you
receive your product arrival e-mails and find that the product has not been
improved you are certainly welcome to cancel the item!

Please let me know if I can assist you further!

Best regards,
Robin

Well I'm pleased that you like him so much as you will be paying for him.

I stand by my comments though. He's wearing a costume from an era of the show that doesn't match up to his 'old man' face and the posture is awkward.

The vamp face is the best part of the whole deal.

fully agreed. People *****ed about the original Buffy hair "flip" and they tone it down. ANGEL here looks like a 45 year old guy.
ANGEL is not suppossed to look like that, melancholy or not.
And the pose with the weird coat make him look like he indeed has a paunch.

That's a nice reply, Slayerverse. I'm sure Sideshow will improve Angel thanks to us. I will write an email to them as wel.

I wonder if they have those all premade up.. and say, okay we got a complainer on the design of the piece.. send out this premade email. hehe

Saves them a lot of work and time instead of writing a whole email from scratch for each individual person.

Seems we didn't have the same impression about that response :rotfl

hehe You never know, it saves them a lot of time and effort. Remember, they get a ton of emails asking for people to fix this and that... so just making one email that attacks the masses is not only less time consuming, but is much easier on the person sending out the email to said person.

After all, there was no name mentioned. What?! I can't throw around my own conspiracy theories? Oh crap! I hope Patrick Stewart doesn't send a bunch of men in suits after me!

What?! He doesn't work for SideShow? Excellent!

Yeah, it's obviously a form letter response.

I have to say that I don't believe these problems will be fixed to everyones liking. I am very much leaning towards not getting this one because it just doesn't do it for me. What gets me too is the stance. Angel looks so uncomfortable and unnatural standing like that. No sir, it isn't looking good. :monkey2

Nah, thats a brush off if ever I heard one.

They don't even mention the item by name. Trouble is so many people have already pre-ordered this that they're probably thinking :Oh what the hell if we loose a few, the majority seem happy with what we've done'.

The only way they'd sit up and take notice if they got a ton of complaining emails or if everyone canceled, and that seems highly unlikely.

Won't stop me keep badgering them though.

It would be kind of nonsense if they thought that since almost every one in this forum has complained about one issue or another.

Yeah, but we;re the 'hard core' and so don't really count. Also I doubt that anyone from Sideshow even visits these boards anymore to read the reaction to their products.

Exactly my sentiments.

btw Sue, I can't tell you enough how much I love your puppets!

You kick ass poster and artist you!

You also have to consider that once a piece reaches the preview/pre-order stage, it might be too late to make changes to the sculpt. Tweaking Buffy's hair is one thing, but making significant changes to the actual head sculpt is another matter. If they did that, it would not only delay the piece a good bit, but also add to the production budget. It just might not be financially feasible for them to change the sculpt, despite the complaints. It's not that they don't care, it's just business.
