Ah Robo, our resident photoshop guru chimes in.

Personally, I like the picture in the middle the best, it certainly looks closet to the picture of DB in the background. I don't know why they would take an outfit from an early Buffy promo shoot, use a young DB picture for the background comparison, and then sculpt a portrait of his wrinkled old grandfather, it doesn;t quite add up for me. I still don't like the queer expression on his face, and the eyes.....well they just look wonky to me. Strong work though Robo.

Again, all my comments have been based on the picture, which by the way, we don't even have confirmation from Sideshow that this is an actual working prototype picture. This could be released and look just as good as the Spike PF. But - based on this pic, I for one am out. All the speculation and drama are always fun though - at least for me.

My problem is that the figure looks older than Boreanaz looks NOW!
ANGEL is supposed to be immortal but perpetually stuck at what, 25...?
He looks 45 here.

Does this improve your opinion of it at all?

I suspect that the eye position will mostly be a paint app issue anyway, so I wouldn't discount the prototype on that basis.

Lovely, he still looks like an older Angel, from Ats S3 or close, and that's what I want, exactly. I wish Sideshow took note of your opinions and suggestions, it'd make a better statue. I just don't want it to be a 'teenage' S1 Angel. Not my cup of tea.

Now that I would order. The hair seems great. Erm, was the hair added from a photo on Sideshows site or from your own pics? Im sure the hair doesnt look that good on my City of, Angel figure!

But with the outfit, its a shame they didnt use a thinner material, that would sit closer to his body, especially around the neck. That way it would appear more as a suit/ jacket rather than a Coat

But i guess we will have to wait to see it on sideshow page to make up our minds.

I took the hair from one of the pics on the Sideshow site, and then tweaked it a bit to make the shape look a little more like David's hair. So, it probably doesn't look exactly like what's on any of the City Of figures any more.

Same problem here. Unless I stay awake until 3 in the morning I won't pre-order Angel until tomorrow (that if he's actually coming up tonight). I just hope he doesn't sell out in half a day...

Even with the "problems" we've been discussing in the preview pic, I know my order will go in tonight!

I just hope Sideshow has been taking notes from our discussion, and that they are able to make the minor adjustments that could take this from a great statue to an AMAZING one.

That and Angel really sums up the show in one collectible, coinciding perfectly with Buffy. Spikes the middle man

Regardless of all the problems discussed, Im really happy with what I've seen and cant wait to get him. I think he'll be a winner like Spike

So, if it goes up for pre-order tonight, what time do you think it'll be? It's 7:37 pm right now in Spain, there are 6 hours of difference with the East Coast, so what time should I wake up to pre-order? Could someone do tha maths for me? I'm such a lazy person
