well, just got my delayed notice from ssc now. pushed to dec-jan. funny cause i literally just pre-ordered it when the pics started popping up on the blog sites, and then i'm rewarded with a delay. nice.

I've had this preordered for quite a while and there have been two other such emails from ssc.... so no surprise. My last payment was already moved back to December some time ago, so potentially waiting until January doesn't bug me much.

Sideshow is actually quite annoying with the shipping estimates.

Yep. They are mostly worthless. I recommend going by hot toys and add 6 weeks.

Yeah I look for the Budget Stark Update videos by quarter just to get an estimation.

Once SB in HK releases the figure I plan for a 6 week window like you said before it hits the U.S.

that was very quick. Demand and Supply I guess. 1/4 Tony Stark Head sculpt available in OSK for this. 48$ not bad.
This increases the worth of this figure significantly

can anyone share the link? I'm curious about the headsculpt. looking pretty good...:wink1:
as for the mark 45 final product, maybe I'm the minority here, because I like the proto matte paint apps just like they did to the mark 43.
I'm hoping that won't be the case after I get this figure :wave

Without taking it out of the box... [emoji30]

Anybody know or have a general idea what the production run of a 1/4 scale IM is versus its 1/6 counterpart?

As great as these 1/4 scale versions are, because of price I don't feel the market is the same.

I think these figures stick around a little longer on Sideshow. I was surprised how long the 1/4 Boba Fett and Mark 43 were on the site. They sell, of course, but yeah most people have invested in a 1/6th scale collection so it is hard to collect a bunch of 1/4 scale after the fact. I don't see many getting multiple 1/4 scale Iron men...for me, one would do.

1/4 scale scares me so much. It has messed up with my focus. I started my collection based on 1/6 star wars and ironman. Then came Boba 1/4 and Mark 43 1/4. I thought it would be nice to have a 1/4 sample from each universe in my collection. Just as a display piece. The thing is I didn't get satisfied with only those two. 1/4 scale was really a step up in my collection. The thing is these big fellows are not only very expensive but also occupy a lot of space, which I don't have.

So I'm struggling now to avoid this beauty (mark 45 1/4) and praying that HT will postpone Vader 1/4.

You're also stuck with a very limited choice of 1/4 figures compared to 1/6 ones, which i always thought was a big downside to collecting them :dunno

Re: Hot Toys QS006 - Avengers: AOU 1/4th scale Mark XLV Collectible Figure

I always thought 1/4 should be reserved for a limited amount. As in "Batman", "Vader", "Jungle Hunter"...a select few key characters from films. I mean anything Iron Man will have multiples.

But I've loved 1/4 scale so far. I summed up all of the dark knight series with the Batman...got a representation of one of my fav characters in Boba Fett. I'm so eager for the Vader. I decided to get multiple IM over one 1/4 scale. I really like the Diecast line.

Despite collecting only 1/6 and recently quitting collecting, I would totally buy a 1/4 Jungle Hunter P1 Predator :panic:

Why did you quit?

I'm kinda done myself. 1/4 Vader, MK6 and K2S0 are the last things I'm interested in buying

Oh I have cancer, Spinal Osteosarcoma Stage III

The DC MK6? that's an impressive figure, I love the Stark tower base and Battle damage, its much better than the IM2 re-release. K2SO looks like he'll be an impressive figure too, and Jyn Erso looks pretty great too :clap I'm curious about the 1/4 Vader, the recent release looks pretty cool, I think its ANH 1/6

I had heard you where sick a couple months back but I didn't know it was that bad. Man I'm sorry. Feel like a **** for giving you **** yesterday. I've never had the big C but I did break my back and know that anything that messes with your spine is painful as all get out, plus chemo and ****. Man I don't pray much, I'm not very religious, but I will give it a go for you man.
