Wow. I didn't even dream of getting Treebeard because it seemed way to big and expensive to produce. I would preorder it in an instant.

Do we know if anyone's received their Merry/Pippin set yet? Has there been mention of when they ship out?

On another note, I'm glad the in-hand pics on that Treebeard bust look great! Both Merry and Pippin are looking great!

Any mention as to when Frodo/Sam or Gimli will be discussed?

I would like to vote for a Treebeard bust too but maybe with a interchangeable face mask like batman for an angry Treebeard or a pondering Treebeard

Lets get the full fellowship out first. Asmus can do whatever figures afterwards, phew so many to release its crazy. Very exciting, desperate now for a gandalf po

Agreed. Fellowship first! Then they can go crazy making all the other cool figures that I want to buy :)

Well I broke down and order these from BBTS. I'm really hoping Toy Anxiety breaks these down and/or Asmus makes the hobbit bodies available. I really do not want to have to purchase Frodo and Sam again just to get the body heights to match. I get Asmus making them closer to true scale, but I still wish they had just matched the sideshow body.

I would think that the Frodo and Sam head sculpts from SST would be too out of proportion to use with the Asmus body.

To be fair, though, Asmus is making their own line of figures. They shouldn't be limited by what a separate company did ten years ago.

Sideshow's hobbits were fine for the time, but based on what Asmus is showing us with Merry and Pippin, I think their take on Frodo and Sam will be a major upgrade.
