Cool, thanks. I'm inclined to keep it because together with Gandalf the Grey, it'll be the only figure I want to represent the films (it's the set I've got ordered).

Same here, I just want Gandalf the Grey and a Nazgul to represent LOTR on my shelves. I'm very happy to hear that Asmus is working on Gandalf now as well.
I didn't pre-order the Nazgul, but I'm about to pull the trigger. I just want at least one good in-hand shot of the actual figure before I commit.

I'm super-bummed. :(

Due to money problems, I had to cancel my pre-orders for the Nazgul and the Nazgul w/Steed set.

But the minute I can "responsibly" blow $400+ bucks again, they're both going RIGHT back in my basket!

Where's all the photos :/

I know, right? Thanks to Batsheva for posting pics of the steed :) But Batsheva can't be the only one with this thing in hand - I would've expected some pics from collectors, store owners etc :dunno

Here you go, guys.. meet the smooth stallion:

is that velvet on the horse?

^it's called "flocked up".

And you're welcome, LeJuan. I'm also looking forward to take more pics later with the Nazgul, when there's time. :)

Just seems really weird no pics....except Batsheva... nothing on youtube as well.... I need to see this thing before I pull the trigger...

Alright, if there's still no other photos submitted here, I will try to post a video review. But I can do that only after I finished my comic book deadline, which is January 25th.

Hi guys i'm new here! just got this from Taiwan, i didnt get the horse, just Nazgul - here are some pictures

quick review:

pros: looks amazing, photo cant do it justice, looks better than the promo pictures

cons: very very flimsy and weak joints, figure is very light, feels cheap. The cloth is all over the place when its just out of the box, you MUST use water treatment in order for it to look good

its for display only so i am actually very very happy with it, attached photo compare to the witch king, enjoy:

Welcome to the board pdwhl, and thanks for your very helpful first post! :hi5:

My first response to the weak joints is that a body swap - or companion horse - is desirable. So I guess if I want the Nazgul figure, I may as well keep my PO for the steed set.

Just on the figure itself, water treatment is no biggie - in fact I would've been amazed if this figure didn't need it out of the box. I see water treatment as a part of futzing, and not a modding process like the weathering that is apparently needed on the horse fabrics and hair.

Lastly, this looks really good to me. The seam at the top of the head I can live with, and I might apply a tiny bit of floor wax to the frayed edges so the threads don't stick up so much (I haven't tried this before, any input from fellow freaks would be helpful).

Shame about the dodgy body - again Asmus? - but overall it looks like a keeper :)

Thanks for the pics and review! The body thing really worries me,though. :( If they aren't better on this, will the replacement body with Eowyn be any better? How does this keep happening?

The figure itself looks really nice. When we say "water treatment" what is this? Is this where you soak it and let it dry?

Again, the figure looks great but weak bodies are a real annoyance.

yeah i just soak it with cold water and shape the cloth the way i want it to be, when it drys it will stay that way.

yea the joints are weak and the whole thing is just sooooo light

however i REALLY love the layering of the clothes, its perfect

but since it looks super amazing, i'm gonna keep it. just wouldn't play with it very often lol
