I still want this but I'm not strong like a man and I have enough trouble changing some parts on Hot Toys.
Even just reading all this is very frustrating.

You know, even though there are issues I do not regret getting this set at all. If you have the money to spare then I would still highly recommend it (actually if you have a bunch of money to spare get the steed and get ACI's Nazgul as there have been very few complaints about issues with that body).

I am happy enough with the set, it is a huge step to have him on the steed to say the least, it is huge and impressive and towers over other figures on the shelf so I do still recommend getting it but if you go for the Asmus Rider then be prepared for some annoyances.

The hands however are another issue. It was so damn difficult to pop a new hand on (so he could hold a weapon as he ships with "open claw" hands) I pressed and pushed and finally it popped on but not before I broke the elbow armor (that one is not so easy to glue on, it held last night but I tried to futz the batwing fabric this morning before work and it popped back off).
The same thing happened to me when I tried to change the hands. I used some gorilla glue and I held it in place for about a half an hour before I set it down. Than I let it sit until I got home from work the next day. It seemed to give it a pretty strong bond. The good thing is because of the robes if it breaks off you wont notice. Also I took the armor off the arm to glue it. Hope that helps.

If you want it do not hesitate. The issues are nothing you can't overcome with a little work, and once futzed this set really looks great. You won't regret.
:)

Despite all my problems I'm happy with it. It does look good once posed properly and I imagine once a water treat the robe and fix the belt it will look even better.

Its pretty easy to fix the robes, and even make new ones. The set has nice acessories, and it can be put to good use

Finally opened my set up late today.

I have to say, it's a lot of stuff for $300.

That said, the small box and minimal accessories real make this simple Nazgul feel a bit overpriced even at $150 (after the WK, Gothmog, Gandalf, Guritz and Eowyn).

HOWEVER...

I was really quite overwhelmed -- in a great way -- by the Steed. Granted I was prepared for the flaws, but holding this monster in hand is really something. Other than the Power Loader I don't think I have anything 1/6th that's quite this big, so it's really impressive in hand. I was lucky so far -- can't see any nicks or dents or glue or bad stuff on him. Honestly, this thing really blew me away when I got it open.

I took a few pictures fresh out of the box with zero futzing just to show anyone who is curious what they will first lay eyes on.

Post after dinner.

Funny, I had the same reaction when I opened my Steed as well.
Still waiting for my replacement right foot and leg armor, foot ankle ball cracked off while trying to reinsert the foot. My sword DID arrive though. If anyone here got theirs, is the pommel removable so as to fit it into the Nazgul's hand? It seems like it isn't...

Pictures of the Nazgul unfutzed are pretty pointless, so I've focused on the steed instead -- which I love!

Here's some boxed -- in box -- and out of box so you know what to expect...

It's really hard to appreciate just how big this thing is in hand...

Nice pics, Wor-Gar! The horse really is quite temping. I really don't have any place for it and as you said in a previous post, a rider on his steed or a few stalking around on foot is a different vibe for a display. I'm sticking with them prowling around but wish I could do both!

That's what she said

:lol

Can't wait to get mine. Are you planning to weather it up, Wor?

Oh yes, of course. Something like this looks better the more raggedy and messed up it is. That's fortunate because it'd harder to make a mistake. I really like the bloody wounds on Sankari's. I definitely plan to make the saddle wrap/pad and head wrap more filthy and torn.

Nice pics, Wor-Gar!

Thank you. Believe me, I'm not sure I have the space for this piece either quite frankly, but my collection is changing direction in terms of size because of the Great HT Star Wars Shift. I'm sliding back to "a few key pieces" instead of the "collect-them-all" mentality I've been pursuing. So I hope to make room for this so people can actually see it.
