But what if Desmond doesn't die? Then you keep reliving desmond's memories through the animus as his descendant.

If Desmond survived the end and went on to have a child after this point then yes, future games could go with idea that the past five games have been an Animus session witnessed by someone descended from Desmond.

Interesting theories and ideas.

But I don't want Asssassins Creed 4. The story is finished.

Use the same engine - much more heavily weighted this time toward the naval aspects - and create a new character and give us an awesome pirates game.

Much better idea than AC4 I think....

Aren't they the developer of Sleeping Dogs? I hope that they put everything towards making that game is smooth and sharp is what they showed at E3.

A pirate game would be fun too.

I wish they didn't have to make an AC4
...but I don't think anyone's been satisfied with that as an ending, they will either have to finish what they left there in DLC or in the next project.

Just finally finished AC3 and I'm a bit let down in the overall package. The story/plot was fantastic as usual, but the overall gameplay was a bit too linear than I am accustomed to. I didn't have that feeling of wanting to upgrade armor or weapons (only did once). Also I missed the elements of ACBH where Ezio could upgrade the city, visit various artists and vendors. I felt more encouraged to do these side things in previous installments versus AC3.

I feel that:
AC2 > ACBH > ACRev > AC1 > AC3.

Keep in mind, I avoided all info i could on this release because I wanted no spoilers heading into playing the game.

Am I in the minority here or was anyone else expecting more from this release?

Im exactly the same. In previous games id have fun knowing i had maxed out armor, then checking on my shops to withdraw the money before it maxed out and was sat wasting away. Id love to free roam and thats all stuff i did after i enjoyed the games. With 3 I just wanted to run from A to B as fast as possible, not upgrade anything, didnt pass a glancing look at anything on the map other than where the marker was telling me to go. And i know people say its all the little side missions that make it fun. But the game didnt make me want to play more than was needed to progress through it and get to the end

This is exactly how I played this installment. Glad to see I wasn't the only one. :duff

I just got the hardcover Assassins Creed encylopedia 2nd edition.

Interestingly New Orleans is listed in the places for AC3.
Could Connor's story be continuing in a DLC or Brotherhood style game ?

I don't pay much attention to the offshoots (comics, novels, hand held games) so maybe the location referred to that...

New Orleans is the setting for Assassin's Creed III Liberation on the PlayStation Vita.

Mystery solved! :D
I'm bummed I don't get to play through that actually ....would love a full AC game in New Orleans...

Yeah, the navel battles were designed brilliantly...very intuitive controls and so much fun to play!! I hope they do some dlc with more naval missions...the graphics of the waves and the ships is beautiful!

finished the game and I have to say is one of the best games of 2012.
still going for a full 100% complete. I am at 93%

it is so fun to roam arround the land and explore this amazing world.
the pc version brings it to life in an amazing way.
I am glad I played on pc.

I have to say the ending was good but I was especting something more epic.
I think there will be more games coming. its not over yet.
bring on AC4.

9/10 for me beacuse I have no desire to play multiplayer.
