I love it, love the revolutionary war theme etc... I played several hours of AC1 and AC2 and got bored pretty quick but for some reason I've really enjoyed this one. Maybe it's not for everyone but it works or me, no complaints.

Yes, its my friend prodding me on to do it because its his game he borrowed me and he is wanting me to complete it. Despite me telling him numerous times i just cant!

I just really dont like it. You dont need to agree that i dont like it or the reasons i dont like it. But its whats in my head. Ive played 24 hours of it, and the previous 4 games ( and Liked! them)

It is what it is. I tried

Hey, its all good, everyone has an opinion. Though perhaps 'unplayable' isn't the best term since it plays basically the same as the first four......

But if you don't like the characters, stories or setting then you're probably not going to enjoy going through it ! :D

don't know if it got posted, but this is awesome !

I have to say from all the awsome games this season AC3 has to be my favorite game.

I know IGN gave it a 8.5/10 but they should have reviewd the pc version.
the pc version is amazing. the graphics are some of the best I have seen in a while. so many thing to do. roaming arround the land is so fun.
I think connor is bad ass.
this has to be my favorite assasins creed game for sure.
I am only 26% into the game and I am so blown away.

Question for the AC nuts - anyone have a list of all the different collectors editions for each game in the series, broken down by region? Trying to complete my set but theres so many different ones...

collectorsedition.org has a list of them.

how many you got?

After looking at that list, I have a longggggg ways to go - I've got (all sealed) AC1 (X360), AC2 (X360), AC Brotherhood(Gamestop edition Jack in the box, X360), and I'll add ACIII soon (since it's still in stock everywhere I'll try to get it at a bit of a discount). All US editions only.

Figure once I round those off I can go for the Pal editions, but damn there are a bunch.

Yeah Ubisoft is not making it easy. AC3 itself got about 3 or 4 different version.

Since this is the sideshow site, has Sideshow given any hints in either Ask Sideshow or in any kind of panel or facebook update on whether or not they are doing any AC Premium Formats? All 3 main assassins (Altair, Ezio, and Connor) would be perfect for mixed media.

So I finished the game....

wow does Connor's storyline end with a whimper or what?!
Massive deep game and some great story telling .... you then you don't even really get to fight either Lee or your dad properly. And his entire storyline really came down to burying a necklace? lulz

And you don't really wrap things up with Washington.
It just all seemed to fade out in the end.

I found it really odd they went to so much trouble to make the best gaming winter ever and then barely used it within the story. The vast majority of the story was in the green summery forest. Why go to all that trouble if you're not going to really use it ?

And then to Desmond's big finish ....and we get Mass Effect 3 again, even using the glowing green color to symbolize big change without showing it? What the **** !?!

Not sure if this is the end of Connor's storyline, but yeah the endings and final fights were underwhelming, though I did like how Connor finally got Lee. Although I notice the side missions, especially the homestead missions, do add to the story and ending a bit. As well as doing the missions after the credits roll. It's atleast a wee-bit more. :dunno

Just finished it myself:

I wasn't a big fan of the time and place,so i enjoyed the 4 previous games alot more.
What i cared about the most in this one was Desmond's story. Not sure what to think of the ending but it sure answered questions, only leading up to a pretty weird ending which is a very risky move by ubisoft imo.Where should they go from here with a God unleashed with bad intentions?
Juno and the Templars against the world?
Oh and i really hope Desmond isn't dead.

Desmond is alive.

That, or here's my theory which would be interesting.

The next game you come out of the animus as desmond's son, or decendant in the future. Only to learn that the last 5 games you were reliving desmond's and his ancestor's memories to see how they stopped the end of the world back in 2012.

Gameception.

This can't happen with how the Animus is said to work. It relies on genetic memory which are passed on to the next generation when a character reproduces. So a character reliving his ancestors life can only relive it upto the point where his next ancestor was conceived. The descendant can never witness the ancestors death directly because in order for that descendant to exist, the ancestor would have had to have had a child before his death in order for his genetic memory to be encoded within his offspring's DNA.

An example in the game would be as soon as Connor was conceived, we stopped playing as Haytham at the moment of conception the genetic memories of Haytham up to that point of his life become part of Connor's genetic code to be passed onto Desmond.

However I do think Desmond will continue to existbut only his consciousness within The Animus somehow, So that he takes the place of Subject 16 in future games.
