Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I think it’s safe to say that the last hour and a half is the best hour and a half ever in this specific genre which is crazy because for many movies that’s almost their entire run time.

Can you imagine the script and pre vis for this movie like wait what are we doing again lol

Yeah AEG has kind of ruined movies going forward, at least with regard to scope, lol. And then what's ridiculous is that AEG managed to even up the stakes from IW. "Hmm when I wiped out trillions the surviving half wasn't grateful so I guess I'll have to wipe out zillions this time." FFS, lol.
.

I believe Thanos was going to get rid of everything and bring back half of the universe without any previous memories, since he realized that people weren't able to move on from what they had lost, thus unable to appreciate what they had gained thanks to the unappreciated Thanos. :monkey2

You know which one of my predictions came true?

The one that predicted whom here would enjoy the movie and whom here would trash it.....

Some folks just cannot enjoy themselves.....or only enjoy it when they are trashing something. Its really fairly predictable.

No time stone needed.

I just wonder how long the trashing train will go on in this thread, surly not as long as TLJ.

Carry on......

Actually now that I think about it, Professor Hulk could just throw old Steve in another one of those suits and de-age him, just like what happened with Ant-Man.

NO CONSEQUENCES

Exactly. Once you really let time travel and "magic" in general into a science fiction story, it basically becomes fantasy. Everything can be fixed by wizards.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yeah so what Cap’s super soldier serum has nothing to do with his shield acting like Thor’s hammer yet we just accept it just like we accept that humans breath on Titan without a mask same for Jane Foster in Thor 2.

You want realism go watch a porn movie lol

Wait...Cap’s shield behaves like Thor’s hammer did Odin make Cap’s shield! :panic:

lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This blew my mind....

When they
showed Steve Rogers sitting on the bench from the back they made it look like skinny young kid Rogers to trick everyone to then reveal old man Rogers from the front, awesome. C’mon admit it you thought it was young Rogers lol

Yes that’s exactly what I thought.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yup pretty clear in the movie she could and did if not for Thanos calling in back up.

KF actually said way back when that SW was the most powerful hero in the MCU until things got sidetracked with CM silliness. Looks like they stuck to their guns in the end because CM got spanked, lol.

I don't know, 30 some heroes all with diehard fans and massive expectations for each one, I think the fallout for many is just on account of them wishing things going differently for their favorites.

Yeah even if you thought that ROTJ and ROTK faltered in parts the battles and feels are just so damn epic and AEG was off the charts in both regards no matter how they used Hulk, Thor, or time travel logic, lol.

So true and what would the MCU be without the Russos. Not just making Cap cool for the majority of audiences in TWS but they initially pitched CW to Feige who vetoed it until he heard that DC was doing the same with BvS. So if they didn't make CW which led to separated heroes in IW....what crazy alternate timeline would we be in now, lol.

Also on a totally unrelated note it was kind of heartbreaking to see Scott's daughter as a teenager knowing he'd never get those years back.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I'll include spoilers here, fyi.

Just got back from seeing this. It was great on many levels. Very curious how the Widow movie and Witch/ Vision show will work now.

I'm a bit confused about how the time travel piece worked at the end though. They said the changes in the past wouldn't affect their timeline, because it's a different reality every time a change is made. But Captain America somehow was able to go back and still be part of that same timeline, living through the 50s and 60s, etc.

Also, he was supposed to replace the Tesseract right where it was taken, but they affected the timeline in two different places with a tesseract, once with Loki taking it. How do those things affect the present or the timestream?

Also, how could Captain America avoid trying to stop tragedies that happened in his history from taking place? Maybe he did, and as a result the whole timeline we saw through all the movies isn't what the true reality would have been without his interference. Seems like you could have stopped Hydra though, how to prepare New York for the attack from the aliens, Etc. Maybe he was strong enough to just let things proceed as they had to, it would seem against his nature from what we seen all the other movies.

I was actually expecting Black Widow to appear back in this place, as if for one of his last jumps he might have given her the ability to transport into the present time, similar to what happened with gamora.

But maybe all this will make more sense when I re-watch the movie one of these days. Really really enjoyed it. Any quibbles I have are minor.

Time travel ruines most movies dont try to understand it because it will not make sence its basicly a dues ex machina a way to fix things and help close out the story.

It's funny after seeing this i am glad that the justice league squel movie did not go ahead as planned as the whole time travel nonsense would have screwed with everyone's brain

I think Cap may have messed up the timeline by staying in the past, since it was clear that he was supposed to come back. The film ends with everything being "fine", but in reality their timeline is now altered, which opens the door for new stories. It might even play a role in phase 4. My guess, they're actually living in an alternate reality, since Cap staying in the past and living a full life with Peggy actually changes Shield, which was influenced greatly by Cap's death. They probably dont even realize it yet.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

She came real close. She is very powerful in the comics She changed reality in the House of M storyline.

So I have always been curious what happens to the MCU after this. I mean Marvel studios has basicly exhausted their big guns and most famous stories. I mean they are now having to go to the Eternals for movies they are even less known then gaurdians I wonder what stories they can pull of next . Sure they have GoG 3 in the works and a squel to DR strange but I wonder what happens after this FF4 and maybe Namour ?
