Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

:lol

I am not touching that one.. My mind hurts enough.. :lol

OK I will say what no one else will about EG and some of our fav hero's

Disney wanted to teach the Toxic males a lesson

Hulk - All that Toxic Rage - Cut those green balls off and Turn into a nerdy wussy who isn't even as cool as the Professor Hulk in the comics.

Thor - Thirst for Toxic revenge goes wrong... Turn into a fat drunk slob

Quill - All your Toxic Womanizing - Loose your girl.... Twice.

Iron Man - Possibly the most Toxic male - Die! You don't deserve a normal family.

Captain Marvel - Bragging that your are the strongest - Get knocked out by Thanos!,,, Oh wait a minute.

:lol :lol :lol

LMFAOOOOOOOO!!! Yeah that Bieber haircut will confuse just about anyone :rotfl

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Except the fact that the main hero who led the armies against Thanos was a 1. White 2. Christian 3. American 4. Male meant that they were celebrating the four most hated things you can possibly be today. AEG most politically incorrect film of the year. :yess:

And I think they realized that 70% of the audience will be fat bearded white males so Thor equals "muh representation," lol.

LOL!! If any of that pissed off some snowflakes in San Fran then EG just went up a few notches in my rankings :duff

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

With all the fan service that was in the film I seriously cant think of a single reason they would do Hulk and the Hulk fans dirty like they did.

As for Thor.. He really got his moment in the last film and when it comes down to it he Killed Thanos in this one..

I personally did not mind Thor in this.. My friends did but I was cool with it because he still looked cool at the end of the film and had some great looking moments with the lightning.

But man. Hulk.. Hulk was nowhere to be seen. Professor Hulk was not really in this movie either. It was just Banner big and green. Professor Hulk kicks some ass also and enjoys himself a bit while doing it. :(

Agree 100%. Whatever this was, it wasn't Hulk. They turned him into a total joke, sorta like a "Shrek-Banner" hybrid

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Don't blame the Russos, I think this one falls more on Ruffalo. There was an interview with him around Ragnarok where he talked about Feige having conversation with him about what he'd want to see happen if he got a solo Hulk film, even though he couldn't, and then Feige worked out to take that arc from a single film and spread it over 3, with Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame. It would seem Ruffalo wanted to explore Banner coming to terms with the Hulk, and Marvel saw a way to touch upon Planet Hulk and Professor Hulk in doing so.

I was never a big fan of Professor Hulk, in the comics, but some of the stories leading up to it during the Peter David run, were some of my favorite. In the comics, Professor Hulk was a combination of the Bruce Banner, Grey Hulk, and Green Hulk identities. I know it would have probably been difficult to do without being able to do more solo movies, but I’ve always wished that they could have introduced the Grey Hulk at some point, in the movies. I was never a big fan of Professor Hulk, but I did like the Grey Hulk character. And toward the end of that arc when both Hulk personalities were fighting for dominance, it was pretty cool.

No joke ,I actually thought this very thing seeing the video game sequence.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

IW/AEG writers confirm what the toys had suggested all along: That Hulk and Banner were supposed to fuse together at the end of IW and burst out of the Hulkbuster suit in glorious fashion. But then they came to believe that it was too "uplifting" of a moment to mesh well with the tragedy of Thanos winning so they scrapped it and unfortunately didn't have any replacement moments lined up for AEG since the second film had already been charted out with him being the Professor from the very beginning. Instead they did a quick pickup scene of Banner at the diner simply explaining to Scott Lang that he had merged his forms between films:

I can see their point. It wouldn’t have fit very well with the tone of the rest of the ending to Infinity War. Still, it would have made for a cooler Hulk moment. It seems like they may have traded one problem for another though, because his introduction in Endgame also seemed odd.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Have to say I share your disappointment about Hulk. Did he engage Thanos at all during the final battle? Did we see him do anything? He was upstaged by just about everyone.

Hulk was nice to his fans, recruited Thor, gave tacos to Antman, built a time machine, brought back half of the universe, and held the entire Avengers building on his back. He just didn't do anything cool. Also he got knocked the **** out by a tiny bald woman, sorry jaws.

I understand their rationale...still, now they need to explain the lack of a Hulk/Thanos rematch in Endgame. Everyone wanted that.

Yeah, while Avengers Endgame delivered on almost every level, IMO, one of my few complaints would be no Hulk/Thanos rematch. Although, since it would have been Professor Hulk verses Thanos, I’m not sure I would have been as excited about it, anyway. I really wanted to see original, dumb Hulk verses Thanos. Lol. He’s still the best Hulk.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I can tell JAWS is hurting real bad over Hulk when he’s trying to convince Khev that EG is a full on liberal propaganda machine just to make him hate Cap’s triumphant metamorphosis into the Superman of the MCU!

JAWS resorting now to hitting below the belt lol

We don't know the full extent of how this merged Banner/Hulk will work...hopefully there'll be some circumstances where OG Hulk will come back to the fore - against Thanos would have been nice.

What did he even do in that final battle? I can't remember.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

He literally lifted debris and swatted one baddie away.

The Russo’s bent the Hulk over and shoved an EG box office sized fist up his green ass lol

Why was Fury’s undusting not shown?

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Hulk is a crappy character anyway...

He’s had 2 films to himself and cannot really hold a box office....and he just doesn’t resonate with the fans unless he’s the butt of the joke.

I wish I could say you are wrong but that’s been the reality hasn’t it.

Doesn’t change the fact that i’m hurting over them choosing to ignore a proper conclusion to Hulk’s wonderful set up in IW.

I get why they didn't do it... Makes perfect sense... What does not make sense is that nobody was asking for Professor Hulk :lol

I actually would have been frustrated if he broke out of the Hulkbuster as Prof Hulk..

I didn't like the idea of Hulk not coming out period. He is a fan fav. People loved him in the original Avengers and he was all anyone talked about.. And then.. Boom... The demise of Hulk had began with AOU.

He threw one Alien.. You can hardly see it.. I watched the Avengers Assemble charge several times On YouTube to finally see it.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

So I'm trying to understand: was Hulk so ashamed of his defeat by Thanos that he spent all of IW hiding and then in EG basically merged with Banner, kind of like peeking out from behind a blanket. Is that what happened to Hulk?

Well its not really fair... Audiences I am sure were still reeling over Ang Lee's Hulk. I think there was some confusion over TIH. Plus TIH is played the least like an MCU film.

As a Hulk fan I am bias of course so I am sure I think TIH is better then it is but a true MCU Hulk like the one on avengers I think could have been a bigger success. But Uni wont let that happen.

But hey I am cool with him not having a solo film.. Just give him something to do in the other movies.

If you read the comics there is a lot that could have been done with Hulk.. I just don't think the writers knew what to do with him other then to show how powerful someone else is.

I swear that Avengers was just a Luck with regards to hulk as I thought Joss did not give him much to do in AOU.

Oh I know what you were up to Pazuzu :lol

Writer's did not do a good job with getting their point across... They stated that it was because Hulk was tired of being used just to fight Banner's battles only to have Banner take control again.

It did not come across that way.. People either thought he was embarrassed or scared.

Thing is.. Unless they fix this in another film.. Hulk right now in EG is pissed off royally... He is not a body.. He is another personality. He wants control. He hates Banner.. I would imagine Banner using his body really pisses him off.

If they don't do anything with this it is just further proof that Russo's or any other writers at Disney MCU have never read a Hulk comic.
