Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

So I finally got around to seeing this. It's a solid 3/5 from me. Not bad but not great found it quite long and got a little bored at some stages. I say all of this as someone who is not a huge Marvel fan(haven't seen Infinity War or Captain Marvel for example).

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

There has to be some symbolic reason with Cap’s shield not breaking with Thor’s hammer striking it but breaking with Thanos.

I always thought it was just Vibranium's shock/vibration absorption properties that let it work with Thor's hammer. In Thanos' case, the shield first suffered a Nick from a slice and the metal fractured from there on.

Just watched the Battle of NY again. Cap looks goofy. But what a moment when Hulk shows up and definitively turns the tide of battle.

The strongest there was. :slap

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Ok by end of monday it will be at 2.5B!

Oh man can it make another 270 million!

I want it to beat Avatar without the need for a rerelease!

That’s punishment lol

Endgame might not beat it

The problem is is that everybody has seen it now and they don’t want to go back for repeat viewings because there is no Hulk action.

Endgame is a box office failure

:lol :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

It still has a ways to go to beat TFA domestically.... wow... as much as I was frustrated by the film I would like to see it beat TFA domestic and avatar worldwide... it may not be my fav Marvel but it marvel deserves the representation at number 1

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I want it to pass both too (though it has absolutely no chance with TFA's domestic) but at least with it being second domestic and second worldwide that mitigates the inevitable "it doesn't deserve to be #1" backlash from counterculture contrarians and can instead be appreciated for the great film that it is. :)

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

The more I think about this movie, the more I realize I didn't really like it.

Oh well. Guess it's just not my jam.

I just looked at the list of all the MCU movies and realized I only saw Iron Man and Iron Man 3 in the theater. That's crazy.

Wow that is nuts.

I men what do you see at the theaters? It seems like only Marvel Movies, Star Wars movies and Disney remakes are in the theaters anymore :lol

I wonder how films of today would fair if not for Home Video and the lack of rereleasing in theaters..

Its impressive that its at 24 and climbing on the adjusted for inflation list..

I wonder what it would do it got rereleased every few years and that was the only way you could see it..

Of course back in the day you didn't have a film opening up on the amount of screens you do today.. And everything is so much more of an event then things use to be. I mean my multiplex had it playing in 8 out of 10 screens opening weekend.. lol That's nuts.
