Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This was the Iron Man I knew growing up. Needless to say, I was not a fan. :lol

The intro is actually pretty cool and the theme uses the "I am Iron Man" line, but I just saw him as a Batman ripoff. The mullet and thin mustache didn't help either. :lol

Oh My... I forgot about that show..

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Hulk is still and will always be an A-list character. He stood the test of time, bad shows, bad movies, bad cgi, and recasting. He still as popular as ever. I do wonder if IM and Cap's relatively new found popularity will last past the MCU, RDJ and Chris Evans, or is their popularity attached to the actors playing the roles and the MCU? At some point someone else will play those roles, but maybe by then it won't matter. Then again, they might never recast Evans in our life time, since he's so young. My guess, IM, Thor and Cap will remain popular one way or another. Disney will keep them popular. Disney might keep Hulk on the sideline as much as they can until they get him back though 100%. If and when they do, I see them giving Hulk a big push. They're not afraid to take a short term loss. They completely black listed Wolverine and the X Men for years in every way possible or as much as they could anyways. They can't go that far with Hulk because he's too popular.

Yeah... Hulk is not going anywhere.

I hope you punished him
:lol :lol

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Just putting this here:

I initially liked AA more than AoU, but he does bring some interesting points on comparing the two. I got a renewed appreciation for AuU from that video. :chase
I threw on an Avengers marathon while I graded my student's last lab reports this past Sunday night; I actually found a lot of what this vid to resonate with me as well. The first 35%ish of Avengers is a little strung around. I'd say at least until the forest skirmish. Dare I say, and I mean this in a good way, parts of the film felt almost like they were cut from the same cloth as the Rami Spider Man movies. But of course, the NY battle is tremendous.

On the other hand, I felt like AOU was more in the vain of the more recent films and far more mature. In many ways the events of the films that followed elevated it, and I found it far more interesting seeing all seeds that were planted and developed in that movie. The stupid "horror movie" edits around Wanda feel terribly out of place and I'm glad they dropped those going forward, but I liked Ultron as a character much more this time around. I could listen to James Spader in the role all day long.

Ferrigno and Norton must hate Ruffalo lol

I always thought when Bill Bixby said his famous “you wouldn’t like me when i’m angry” line that he sounded like Lou Costello.

Yep this will be a 3 hour watch from beginning to end every time just like FOTR, TTT, and ROTK.

Well needless to say I don't agree.. I can see the points he is trying to make.. But everything about Age of Ultron is undermined by really goofy humor and some of the most bland action in the MCU.. A1 might look a little like a TV show.. AOU is a bad tv sitcom. I will point to Hawkeye and Black Widow talking about what changes he is going to make to his home while driving through a War Zone.. It doesn't work and takes me out of the movie. There are so many examples of this type of humor. Its funny how he says he feels like the hero's in A1 feel like caricatures. IMO in AOU nobody feels like they are the character.. They feel like they are playing the character...

I just got done watching it again along with every other Marvel movie and it still drives me crazy. It is IMO the only bad movie in the MCU. I disliked it from day one and its only gotten worse.

But hey if you like it more power to you.. You get another MCU film to enjoy.

:lol :lol

How do TFA/TWS/CW look in 4K?

They look amazing.

Plus listening to the TWA soundtrack on dolby atmos is a wholesome eargasmic experience.

Disney is greedy by not upgrading digital media and only the provider content not to do so, so this is why i. Triple dip on disney movies.

I literally buy the digital movie when it comes out then get the 4k hdr experience which atmos makes it totally worth it
