Yuck!

You mean PG? God's honest truth, I can't even remember what I posted there. I remember that I made an ass out of myself, but the specifics, well...

It was all the "made for da [...]" jokes on the cosplay pics, wasn't it? Yeah, it was embarassing... To my defense though, I was spending a lot of time on /tv/. You do tend to pick up stuff if you're dealing with them constantly. The last two years are a bit of a blur, honestly. One hospital followed another (nothing serious, but still, delays), things snowballed, and I lost focus and control. Hell, I even got my suitcase and textbooks stolen, and had to buy them all over again. And I lost an exam period because of that. I'm only just now starting to put things in order. Anyway, what happened there? Last I checked the domain wasn't working.

Anyhow, the reason why I grew to hate her are her fans. She's got the worst type of fans in the whole internet. Not Batfans, not Spiderfans, not Superfans, not Gokufans, it's the Stormfans who are the worst of the worst. Everywhere they're the same. In every single forum I used to frequent, from as early as I can remember, they were the same type of moronic, powerlevel ****s that shat up every conversation. And on top of that, they'd always post with that weird style. The one that uses words like "boo", or refers to the character as "Queen". Even before "yaaaaassss queeeeeen slaaaaay" became a thing. I saw them ******** up a thread adamant that she could beat Doctor Strange. I've seen them uphold the notion that she's a reality manipulator and one with the universe or some ****. Whenever she appeared in a comic, be it crossover or a cameo, they'd come and **** up the thread. "Why didn't the Queen have more time", "why ain't boo walking over that *****-ass ****er's grave". And then they'd talk amongst themselves, overtake the thread and... You get the point. Back when I still liked Black Panther and my contrarianism hadn't kicked in yet, I couldn't go a page without seeing her brought up, and her fans, obviously, overtake the thread. So, that's one thing.

Then, they started shoehorning her everywhere, giving her power upgrades, whatever. She was the female Wolverine. I suppose the fact that I've always preferred Rogue, Jean, Emma and then Elizabeth to her, and they constantly got sidelined so that she'd be everywhere, rubbed me the wrong way. At first I was apathetic when I read X-Stuff as a toddler or watched the cartoons and movies. But as time went on, I gradually started to despise her more and more. At this point I dislike all muties equally, but still find certain characters, if "studied" in a vaccuum likeable. But Storm, I hate her. Well, hate is a strong word. I don't feel that much for any comic book character nowadays, so let's just say I dislike her.

So it?s mainly just the fanbase u hate then

Eh, kinda. Back in the day I used to hate the character too, because she was so self-righteous. She was a **** in most of the books I read, but then made some corny speech and apparently it was all okay. Emma is a ***** but other characters dislike her for it, they don't worship her. Namor can be a **** (although he's not always wrong), but nobody loves him for it. Doom is one of the biggest *******s on the planet, but that's the appeal. Before Byrne started wanking him he was never supposed to be some great hero. Either way, it's just that these days I've moved past caring about Big-2 characters all that much. It's futile, really. None of them have any fixed personalities and are the author's self-inserts, soapboxes and the like most of the time. Case in point someone like Stark who went from beating people senseless to protect his IP, to creating Space Gulags and then handing out free tech to random kids. Why invest in a character who's never going to be consistent due to the Big-2 milking them and never letting them rest? So my POV these days is that I like certain runs and consider the version of the characters in those runs my preferred/"Kanon" one.

I actually stole that Kanon thing from a guy on DeviantArt. I discovered him a few years back because I liked his art, but he writers pretty good mini-essays on whatever he reads too, accompanied with a drawing. I really like his style, to be frank. Anyway, this guy has a "**** your interpretation, I've got mine", and realized that he's actually right. In contrast with Tumblrwhales who come up with idiotic headcanons (which usually are about how every character is secretly a pansexual aromantic demifox who's into getting dommed by unicorn dicks or whatever), or the canon slaves who just slurp whatever the "writers" serve them, he just picks and chooses the Runs he likes, takes them as canon, fudges around some stuff chronologically, and doesn't give a damn about the rest of what he deems contradictory to the characters' initial natures. Which is more or less what Morrison also says in regards to whatever's "canon". Anyway, Here's the link: https://www.deviantart.com/devilkais

As for Storm, I just never found her really interesting, and her fans being so obnoxious made me hate her. Much as I dislike the Muties, they have a ton of characters with various powersets and personalities, and back in the day they actually used to fight aliens and demons instead of being poor allegories. So I couldn't really care for Storm when Rogue was around, because she had a more striking design and fun attitude. Psylocke was a sexy ninja with a psychic knife who was also a Posh British lady with a British Green Lantern for a brother. Jean played the "team mum" role better. Emma was the Queen *****. So whatever aspect of Storm was there, "team heart", "tough punk" or whatever else, someone else already covered, alongside a more interesting powerset and costume. IMO anyway. Kitty I didn't really care for, but got to like her well enough in Excalibur. Although I never managed to care for Meggan from that title, for example. I never cared for Jubilee either. You see where I'm going with this? If not for her fans, she would've stayed there, next to Jubilee in my "don't care" list.

Hugo Weaving just did an interview in London where he said that the Russos did ask him to return to play the Red Skull again in IW/EG and that he was willing to do it until he realized that they'd be paying him chump change due to the three picture salary he signed off on in 2010 when the MCU was still in its infancy.

He wanted to renegotiate for a higher fee so that he'd at least earn more than what he received for TFA and Disney said no so he passed.

Hugo said he was so ready and excited to do it again but that Disney was impossible to negotiate with. I read that as he wanted a ridiculous amount of money for a tiny bit part and is trying to be the victim and blaming them for not caving.

I could actually see them trying to remake BttF with them after that! I never realized how much they actually resemble Doc and Marty. Really freaky seeing their faces but still hearing Fox and Lloyd.
