Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

When the Ancient One knocks Bruce out of Hulk's body, I thought for sure we were gonna see a savage Hulk fight scene, it would've been a cool fight between the Ancient One vs Savage Hulk, while Banner's spirit tries to convince her to give them the stone, and could end with Ancient one putting them back together. I would have been OK with that even if Savage Hulk doesn't get to fight Thanos.

Edit: oops I meant to say the Ancient one.
I understand story wise why they needed to depower Thor in the last fight, at Thor's prime he can too easily 1v1 Thanos and the fight would have ended in 1 minute, and honestly I don't want to see another fight end with Thor killing Thanos again, it's been done twice already. We now also have Scarlet Witch who can win a 1v1 fight against Thanos, when Thanos gave up his army to save himself you can tell scarlet Witch was really killing him. Then there's CM who can probably beat Thanos 1v1 if she went straight for him.

Also it was funny at first when fat Thor was shirtless and gross, but actually with his battle armor on he doesn't look half bad imo. He looks like a cross between a Dwarf and a Viking with dual wield weapons, me personally I really dig that look, they manage to make fat Thor look cool, just not nearly as powerful as he was. Also I figured, after he lost an eye and becomes overweight, he really was starting to look like a king, I thought it would have made sense if he puts down his hammer/axe and succeed Odin, he's starting to look the part, but I guess they are bringing him back in the next GotG so we'll see how that goes.

In a movie where one can build a flying suit of armor, aliens with advanced technologies co-mingle with Earthlings, time travel is possible, and a genius racoon and his talking tree exist, I'm surprised you found it unbelievable they located the reactor.

That's fully possible. I have a friend who had a full head of black hair turn grey in just 2 years. And we were teenagers then! I'd imagine an older person working under a ton of stress can be worse.

It’s like if Steve returned the soul stone technically he saw the red skull, so does the soul stone return a soul for being returned?

Is no one going to admit that the first act was really boring? Like 30 minutes were absolutely worthless.

No. That time was needed to establish the aftermath of the Decimation and set up the plot. You must have the attention span of a goldfish.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I guess the reason Falcon got the shield was that disney is gonna try to make Bucky the next "Black Widow", filling the gap for a spy in the group
A suit like "U.S. Agent"(black suit cap) would do the work for him to gain the public apeel

Also:
Think it was the writers' influence too e.g. they'd said Bucky being Cap would be wasted, he was too cool as kind've an antihero. Looks cool too. Have mixed feelings about the shield thing; I was more irritated about the screen time lack w. Bucky, Loki, Falcon, others. And some other stuff.

But wonder if all that handling was just set-up for TV series - Disney is EVIL fans of those characters will head straight for that subscription.:devil

2nd viewing I welled up. The guy next to me was crying. People applauded. Man I appreciated Scarlet Witch:love

First hour was awful and yes, very boring.
I’m not a fan at all of new Thor or Hulk either...dumb. Not funny either.

Overall I liked it but had some big issues too. I actually prefer Captain Marvel movie over it.

I thought the same thing when TAO did that to Hulk just like when The Enchantress removed Banner from Hulk and Hulk went ballistic. But nope we got shafted lol

So Peggy Carter's...

Mysterious Husband was Steve all along.
Bit out of character to have cap stay hidden and not intervene to save Bucky or stop Hydra but I guess he knows all will work out in the end.

My 10 year old thought the middle was boring, but hey, she's 10.

I, on the other hand, enjoyed the whole thing.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I can't spoiler tag, so I'll be vague. I wasn't crazy about Hulk, it took away everything I like about the Hulk.

The passing of the torch at the end, made no sense to me, since that person possessed none of the abilities to make him effective in that role.

Otherwise, it was incredible.

P.S. I'm not going back to read what I missed, too much.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Boring?.. it's a three hour movie. There were always going to structure elements comparable to say the The Lord of The Rings movies, like an epilogue and prologue..

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

For me as an adult one thing the movie wasn’t was boring.

I’m super pissed off about a few things but boring isn’t one of them.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Read a few comments about hulk’s part in this film, and I personally thought :

They did him justice - they acknowledged him as the strongest avenger by letting him be the one to use the gauntlet and not die. But I think as much as they wanted to, there was just no way for him to go berserk mode after that with his damaged arm. Because that wouldn’t have been fair after what happened to Thanos in the first act. It seems like the toll of using all infinity stones is an injury one can never recover from. Also I think it’s been set-up from the beginning of IW that Hulk was never a match for Thanos, much less Professor hulk - he wouldn’t have lasted as long as captain marvel did in that struggle for the gauntlet at the end.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Saw it last night and going again tomorrow. Like it a lot, definitely need to see it again. I judge a movie on how many times it hits me on an emotional level. This did it a lot, here ‘s my list.

1. Clint losing his family
2. Tony’s melt down (great acting and effect to make him look emaciated.)
3. Natasha’s scene with Rhodey talking about Clint
4. Tony and his daughter, when she tells Tony, “I love you 3000”, and again when his hologram said it to her at his funeral.
5. Thor talks with mother.
6. Tony with his father.
7. Natasha’s death.
8. Clint’s phone going off.
9. Cap yielding Mjolnir!
10. Everyone showing up. "..... on your Left”.
11. Cap saying, “Avenger’s Assemble.”
12. Scarlet Witch kicking Thanos's ass.
13. Tony saying, “ and I am Ironman” then Snap.
14. Tony’s death and funeral.
15. Old Cap Sam, and Bucky
16. Cap dancing with Peggy.

Things that annoyed me!
No Rage Hulk
Every time Captain Marvel was on Screen. (But I did enjoy seeing the look on her face, right before Thanos knocked her the F out.)
Girl Power scene. It felt so forced.

Or more like the hobbit the battle of the five armies, which was the first thing that popped in my head at the theater which made it all the worse for me.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Saw it ! Loved it ! I’ve always been a critic of these and this is the first Avengers movie to get it right. A lot to say, but for now, wow!
