What pisses me off is that Sideshow was and remains completely unwilling to open and inspect for damage prior to shipping them out; they just want to get the thing to you in hopes that you'll keep it.

What makes this more BS, is they are the ones putting "OFFICIAL HT TAPE" to seal these boxes. HT giving SS their official tape, points to BOTH of them being shady.

Might just accept a partial refund and just keep it but who knows. I honestly think it's not worth the hassle of repacking it and then bringing it all the way to the postal office but we'll see what AE offers from SSC.

Just bought from a seller on eBay and canceled my BBTS order. $670 shipped. He's a trusted seller located in Florida with it in hand and he does accept returns. Wish me luck though!

Im guessing im really fortunate CornerStore is allowing me to open and inspect my Batmobile instore. You can bet if it has scratches, it isnt coming home with me.

All EBay sellers must accept returns if an item is damaged. I got mine from a NY seller from EBay. I have been waiting for FedEx. His listing said No Returns, but that doesn't count when the item is Damaged. If I have to file a claim, I will win.

If mine is damaged Ebay and Paypal Will protect me. I feel bad for EBay sellers on this one. The seller will most likely claim the item was new, and the seller is correct, but he will still have to take it back and cover shipping.

I recently had to open a case against a seller on eBay for a Tumbler that arrived damaged. He said to return it and he would refund me, he later told me he didn't have the funds to refund so to open a case. I won the case but PayPal would not deal with the return postage only the amount I paid, as a curtsey they gave me £25 credit on my account . So be careful if the return postage is expensive

Moment of truth is here....Fed Ex guy just dropped it off. Will report back after I've opened it and had a chance to inspect it thoroughly.

Yea I mean the worst case is I eat the shipping charge if it has to be returned. At this point I feel like that's just part of the gamble in buying this beast. I feel 100% confident in eBay and PayPal if something goes wrong but man I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.

Mine just shipped from APCollectibles but the stuff ordered through them comes from direct from sideshow.

I had requested that they check the batmobile before shipping but they told me sideshow was checking remaining batmobiles before shipping due to this now known problem

So I hope mine arrives safe and sound

Where are you located?

Then we'll keep returning them until we get ones that aren't.

I talked to Sideshow about getting another one after shipping back the damaged one... They will pay for the return shipping on the first damaged one, if the second one is damaged as well then you will have to pay for the return shipping your self.

Been waiting to see if yours arrives safe

Well, sadly it didn't. There is an approximately .75" long blemish similar to what others have shown by the driver's side porthole window.

Now here's the conundrum. It's only visible in direct light and even then if you weren't specifically looking for it you'd never know it was there. Obviously I know it's there, though, and that's the problem. The thing I'm going to need to decide is if it's a big enough issue to send the car back for a refund and go without having it in my collection. It's so impressive in person that I honestly can't imagine not having it now.

Guess I'll email Josh and see what he says. *****k you Hot Toys for making us all go through this!

Sorry bro! I'm in the same boat. I was so upset last night when I opened it but when I woke this morning and seen it sitting on the table. I was giddy as all hell!

Here are my blemishes.

Not too noticeable but I know they are there. I'm just gonna hold on till a good painter friend makes way to this side of the coast one day and have him touch it up!

Well I'm returning my damaged one and have already preordered a second one. If the second one is damaged as much as my first one, it's also going back and I don't see how they can argue that they won't pay return shipping seeing how the second Batmobile is a separate order, and not part of any previous return or exchange.

Although it doesn't surprise me that they would try to get out of having to cover the cost of multiple returns:(
