Might just accept a partial refund and just keep it but who knows. I honestly think it's not worth the hassle of repacking it and then bringing it all the way to the postal office but we'll see what AE offers from SSC.

I know you don't know me or anything, and this is JUST my opinion, so please don't flame me...but yeah man, why not keep it? Especially if you get a partial refund?

Your pics of the car are GORGEOUS....yes, you have a few tiny scuffs but they are barely noticeable in the wider shots. And they're only on one side!

A lot of these guys had some serious damage, but when I saw your pics I thought "If it were ME, I'd definitely keep it!"

Hey...just some random internet stranger's opinion, I know, but yours was the only one I saw where I thought to myself "I could live with that...."

Sorry bro! I'm in the same boat. I was so upset last night when I opened it but when I woke this morning and seen it sitting on the table. I was giddy as all hell!

Here are my blemishes.

Not too noticeable but I know they are there. I'm just gonna hold on till a good painter friend makes way to this side of the coast one day and have him touch it up!

That's the exact spot where my blemish is. I'm debating just keeping it and taking a $75 refund or whatever it is they're offering. I got mine for under $600 shipped anyway so if I got another $75 off I'd basically only be paying a bit over $500 for this item and honestly I wouldn't feel too bad about that price being that it's such an impressive display piece.

Then again, I'm always going to know that stupid spot is there. :(

Mine showed up today & it did have a scuff mark pretty much where everyone else's is located (on the left side only, looking at the front of the car, just by the round window), but it's not that deep and not really noticeable under my normal display lighting & conditions. I also noticed the machine gun covers were a bit warped, but a minute under a hot lamp squared that away...now they sit flush on the chassis. Considering the fact that there's no guarantee I'll get a better one if I return it & get another, I'll live with it but I plan to contact SS, let them know it is damaged, and get the $70 store credit which I'll apply to the 1/4 scale Batman I have on PO.

Looking at other members pics with more severe damage I consider myself lucky. While I'm pleased to get it with minimal problems, I really feel bad for those whose issues were much worse than mine....we waited a long time for this thing & to open the box & find major scratches must be disheartening. It's a shame too because it seems rather obvious to me that the shield is causing these scuffs and scratches right at the point where the foam pieces end and the edges of the shield underneath are making contact. If HT had simply put foam 100% under the shield we wouldn't have these problems.

Next step....putting in the batteries, cram my extra Bats in the cockpit, take some pics & add my info to the poll.

Did anyone order directly from an overseas seller and get a damaged one? It seems like most of the damaged ones are coming from the ones sent to SSC.

I applaud BBTS, they have earned my business for everything. They are losing money on shipping and still helping us deal with the qc issues. They are going above and beyond, bravo to them.

Got mine... Pretty major gouge in the side of the box, all the way into the display box. I can see the Styrofoam from the outside. :(

I won't care as long as the car ends up being blemish free... But I am not hopeful since this box looks beat to hell.

I will find out tonight...

Sallah

I have the same question. I really do suspect the damage occurred when they stacked them all on top of one another on their way over to North America. The ones on top of the stack came over blemish-free; the ones underneath had their shield pressed against their cars under the weight of the units above it.

I wouldn't imagine so. Other life matters will gradually reduce its annoyance levels to nothing.

Very true. In the grand scheme of things, this is pretty much meaningless. Obviously it sucks to pay a lot of money for something that isn't perfect, but at the same time the small blemish I have really doesn't detract from the overall impact of the piece because it's barely even noticeable unless I'm looking for it. On top of that, I had planned on displaying it where you can only see one side of the vehicle so if I have the side with the small imperfection against the wall it's basically never even going to be seen.

Given the choice between not having this in my collection or keeping it with a very small blemish I would definitely opt to keep it as it's probably one of the coolest collectibles I've ever seen. I have the Tumbler as well and when I opened it I was thrilled, but this thing absolutely blows it out of the water.

FedEx came!

The Batmobile is perfect! My wife and I both inspected it, and we cannot find anything wrong.

Wow! This thing is amazing!

I am still pissed about all of the stress that I went through, and for the stress everyone else is going through.

The shipperbox was punctured, but the regular box and vehicle are all good!

My birthday is Friday, and this is a great pre-birthday present!

Hope everyone else gets a good one!

I tend to agree with you. Extra weight on top, combined with all the shifting and moving of the pallets caused the edges of the cocoon to rub against the chassis where there was no foam, as the shield is a rather snug fit. Really a shame too, because for just a few cents more HT could've foamed the entire underside of the shield & prevented all this, because the car itself was packaged pretty darn well.

A classic case of being penny-wise and pound-foolish. :slap :gah:

***Will add pics later***

So I just opened mine up and sadly I too have the gray/blue blemishes on the canopy. Both sides. I really wish Hot Toys would have put foam along the entire shield.

All of the windows look fine, I can't find any traces of glue or whatever.

The shield was beaten to hell in the box apparently, as the little plastic cover has completely rubbed off along a lot of the edges, but especially in the front.

I also noticed that one of the plastic straps the was supposed to hold the canopy was not connected.

Overall, I think I'm going to keep it. I will send pics to Sideshow to see if I can get any of my money back, though, as I really should not have to get a collectible that is not perfect.

Did anyone else have writing on their box? Mine had one side labeled "QA-" Just curious as to what it might mean.

Hi guys I forgot to say mine had been opened by BBTS as it had the invoice inside the box and had a differnt tape over the top of the Hot Toys tape.

I'm definitely not keeping it as the marks are too bad. BBTS have emailed me and said they are waiting to here from SSC. BBTS are being very good, I just hope they can help me get a perfect one here in the UK
