Awesome pics guys!

Sallah, love the Batman room!! Do you have pics of your collection somewhere I could look at?! Awesome.

Great pics Sallah. Where'd you get that base for your Keaton Batman figure?

I'd like to know the same thing? That looks great!

Thanks guys! Contact Evilface here on the forums... He can make just about any label you want for your HT/ Sideshow stands. He does incredible work at incredible prices. :)

Looks great there, I've noticed on yours and a couple of other people's pics how important overhead lighting is to bring this to life. Sorry to hear about your scratch.

Thanks very much. The scratches aren't too bad... I can live with them.

Set up looks amazing, sallah :clap

nice pics Sallah !! congrats!!

That is an awesome display you have there Sallah.

Thanks guys! :1-1: Much appreciated!

Great shots Spanbauer and Sallah, they look fantastic. Also good to hear you got a perfect one Spanbauer, I know you were concerned. I love your detail shots.

And Sallah, yeah looking at the whole picture I'd deal with the scuffs you had. Thankfully it's just on one side and not really gouges. Your cocoon looks like it came out okay and survived the trip too. The display overall is very impressive. I didn't know you displayed all your Kenner items too, it's very clean and museumesque. Great work.

Thanks buddy... Yeah, I am a little bummed seeing the scratches, but given that they really aren't that bad and everything else looks in great shape, sending it back may yield something way worse. I will try for the credit based on the destroyed box and scratches, but no way is this baby heading back. :)

And yeah... I just recently reworked this room to showcase my Keaton (and Reeve) collection. It used to be all Hot Toys, but with the kids getting older and more responsible, my wife said she wouldn't mind if some stuff got displayed in an upstairs room (as long as it was "nicer" stuff in glass displays). So I separated out the Marvel HT stuff for that, and made this room for the Keaton/ Reeve stuff (with the HT Batmobile being the centerpiece). I'll try to post more pics of the whole setup soon (and you'll probably have some better views of it when we do our Batmobile review in there).

Thank you guys! There's no lights behind the seats or in the batmobile screen; just tricky lighting :)

I kinda thought it was that... but man did you pull of some David Copperfield action there! They really look lit up! :clap

Awesome pics guys!

Thanks! I am going to try and take some pics of the setup (now that the Batmobile is here) this weekend.

Snapped a few more this morning; hoping to do a set of the features/accessories this evening. Like I said before, it's damn near impossible to get this whole thing in the frame without showing the whole damn room! Seeing it in the light again this morning, I was really super impressed. And so was Batman :p

This is where I actually have it on display. I'm gonna pull the divides out on the shelf below and try it there to see what feels better.

I freakin' love this car. Been on my Holy Grail list for some time (aside from owning the actual car itself). Couldn't be happier.

Just picked mine up (first one) at Cornerstore Comics. The guys over there actually preferred that i open it up there for inspection, which was great for me. It was flawless and breath-taking to say the least. No scratches or scuffs. I have a convertible camaro and had to put it in at an angle with the back of the car resting on the seat. But I came prepared with ropes to secure it. I also put in a plastic bag in between the batmobile and shield after the inspection for further protection. It safe now after a 2nd inspection. Trying to find a place to display it now.

Those guys at Cornerstore are always great.

Voted in the poll already. Good luck, guys!

Soooo just got mine in this afternoon. Mine came slightly damaged. Debating on returning it for a refund or exchanging it for another one. Anyone know what the sales on this are like? Would it be worth keeping even if it just to resell down the line?

I initially thought mine was perfect but under light there was a large area that did not match on the canopy. Almost as if someone took a belt sander to it before it was finished resulting in a large shiny spot. Has anyone determined if this thing is just polished plastic or is it painted black or perhaps just clearcoated with semi flat? Would help us that might try and repair it later. Sending it back is just not an option.

im confused....

people here are debating on getting it exchanged but SS and retailers have made it clear that isnt an option. so my question is what am i missing? from what i understand you have 2 options. full refund, or keep what you have. right? or no?

As far as I can tell, folks are planning to do the refund and then re-buy it in the hopes of getting a nicer one...

Sallah

Black Label Society, there aren't any exchanges or replacements available.

The options are,

- partial refund back to your credit card
- partial store credit for future purchases
- return for a full refund

Great couple of pics guys, it's nice to see some quality pics to counter balance all the QC crap. I'm seriously debating ordering it despite the QC issues. Batman 89 is one of my favorite movies and the batmobile is my most wanted car in the world so t's very hard for me to resist.
Originally I waited because it's huge and I didn't want to spend more than $400-500 on a collectible but I'm making an exception to that rule for a scant few pieces.... and of course this and Galactus have to come out within a month of each other...:gah:

I'm scared to get a banged up one but I don't think i can NOT take the chance on it and at least I know SSC will 'take care' of me with full refund if it comes to that.

Beautiful-
But you do really need a Tony Meis cape.

I saw a pic in this thread of the cape and it looks great. How does one go about getting one and how much is it?

Not THAT cheap. There's a thread on the DC customs if I remember correctly. They really are a work of art if you can stomach the price. You got the batmobile, so im assuming it won't be much of a problem. About 40-45 shipped.
