Great pics, but I'm noticing that headlight effect with mine in person too...there seems to be a slight greenish tint to it, instead of straight amber-ish/yellow like they should be.

EDIT: Took out the picture quotes for a-dev. :peace

Actually, in the movie, there are 2 lamps in each headlight just like the toy (a green & a yellow). If you watch the scene where Batman & Vicki Vale are rushing back to the BatCave, the inside lamps aren't even turned on!

Wow- maybe SS has had it with HT's QC issues...they are going to go throgh S*** because many more Batmobiles are yet to be shipped out.
SS beter be raising cane with HT right now...this kind of thing keeps occuring over and over again...

I really hope HT is taking some heat on this. It would suck if they sold a crapload to Sideshow and left them to hang in the wind with all these returns.

...and, with the Batmobile in it's final display area. Fortunately, at my seating distance and lighting, the scratch is not really noticeable, and at first glance it just looks like light catching the edge of the chassis.

Sorry for the crappy smart phone pic....:slap

EDIT: Just filled out the damage form on SS website. I'm going to get the store credit & apply it to the 1/4 scale Bats. $70 or whatever it is will ease the pain of the price of that thing....a little :D

If Hot Toys takes precautionary measures before the second batch ships and those arrive mint, all of the people who kept theirs are gonna feel really jipped.

I doubt HT will take those measures and even if they do, since the total run is already sold out, how would we be able to get one? I'd be willing to exchange mine if I knew it meant getting a MINT piece, but at this point I don't know if that's even a possibility.

It's not sold out. You can still pre-order it from Sideshow and BBTS.

I never said anything about the movie car not actually having 2 lamps (or anything about the number of type lamps in there at all)...I only mentioned the effect they give. Is there any scene where the headlights are shining with a green tint like the Hot Toys?

Not sure :dunno....I just happened to notice it when I was watching parts of the movie recently when I saw only the outside bulbs were on.

I'll have the pull out the blu ray & review the parts of the movie with the car & see whats what...one of these days. :hi5:

It's all good! :1-1:

Here is mine on display...

But you do really need a Tony Meis cape.

Yeah, I just checked the movie, and examining the scene where the escape the museum, I was wrong...you can clearly see both lamps are the same color & they are like 98% pale yellow with an ever-so-slight greenish cast to them. Hot Toys got the outside, pale yellow right but it looks like they used **cough** a bit of artistic license on the inside bulb because it's too green. They should have just made both lamps the same pale yellow bulb.

Maybe Howard should adjust the tint on his TV. :lol

Funny that both lights are on in the city but only one in the country. As Adam West would say....safety first, old chum. :D

I've seen lots of Youtube reviews on this item that have scuffs or some kind of damaged and 99% of them didn't care or complaining about the
scratch marks in their video. They all seem 100% happy with it.

Yes and that is the problem... Bottom line it should not be scuffed or scratched. Whether anyone is ok or no. Its an expensive product and people who accept it as is are the ones cause of whom ss and ht are so confident they can sail any darn thing thru....

Whoever thinks this scuffs are ok and small to accept pls imagine this 1/6 scale as 1:1 and imagine the size of the scuff. If you were ok to pick a brand new car from a showroom with that size a ding, feel free to accept it.

I really don't think anyone in their right mind is ok with this problem.
But it is a hassle to ship this monster back, and HOPE that:
1- you get one that has no defects, most likely not, since you'll end up getting a return instead.
2- hope that while you wait for the whole return process is finalized, you will be lucky enough they did not sellout.
There's another problems too, people losing their used points, etc.
This is seriously something that will make me think twice about getting any HT 1/6 vehicle ever again. First, the second edition TDKR Tumbler : one of the attachments came broken, had to replace. Luckily, SS had replacement parts.
Then came the reissue batpod. Handle broken to pieces. Again, luckily SS had replacement parts. They have tried to accommodate customers when clearly HT is the one royally screwing up.
This time though, it is not possible except for that lame 75$ refund or a return.

The problem why it has not changed so far is eventually everyone accepts. I went through same drama... Finally decided nothing more than 350 usd from them. They always mess up... Always and on high end stuff. The reason i am so actively pissed even when i dint buy this is cause i knew somewhere deep down they wont change. And it hurts... They have absolute disregard for our money. Also ss vs ht... I think its their problem, we dont need to worry who replaces it... They both make more than enough money.

After one report after the other today of Batmobiles arriving scuffed I was expecting the worst tonight. Picked mine up from Fed-Ex, drove it home and unboxed it. Perfect mint condition. Not a single mark or flaw. My order was through Alter Ego Comics, shipped from Sideshow. It feels like I'm one of the only people who received an unscratched one today.

This thing is enormous. I took countless measurements ahead of time, thought I knew exactly what I was getting in to, but no. Nothing can prepare you for just how massive this car is in person. It actually feels oversized for 1:6 figures, appearing more like a Power Wheels car some kid could hop on top of. It fits where I intended it to go, and is exactly the width and length I expected, and yet it feels so much larger in the room than I ever imagined.

Took a few photos tonight but was fighting daylight. Almost impossible to get the whole damn thing in the frame. It's also a dust magnet, getting dustier and dustier the longer it sat out.
