Awesome pics and this looks amazing!!!

I'd love to get one, but unfortunately I don't want to deter costs from other 1/6 figures I have on order.

The Burtonmobile is THE definitive Batmobile in my opinion.

Well, got mine unboxed tonight...

Bad news:

-The box had a 7 inch hole in the side of it, both through the brown shipper and the display box.... plus another quarter size hole in the other side. No damage to the car from this, but it is still a bummer to have a destroyed box on a $700 item.

- I have 2 of the common scuff/ scratches. They aren't as bad as others I have seen (and not nearly bad enough to risk trying for a better one), but they are there:

Good news:

IT IS THE FREAKING 1989 BATMOBILE IN 1/6TH SCALE.

This is honestly the coolest purchase I have ever made. Even with the scuffs and the box damage... Zero buyer's remorse. It is a thing of absolute beauty and is the definitive piece in my 1989 Batman collection. A work of art.

Here are some quick, no frills pics of this beast.... I will do some more detailed pics (once I figure out how to get it on my photo table) and a video review this weekend... but I just wanted to snap a few pics of this masterpiece in its new home tonight. :)

After one report after the other today of Batmobiles arriving scuffed I was expecting the worst tonight. Picked mine up from Fed-Ex, drove it home and unboxed it. Perfect mint condition. Not a single mark or flaw. My order was through Alter Ego Comics, shipped from Sideshow. It feels like I'm one of the only people who received an unscratched one today.

This thing is enormous. I took countless measurements ahead of time, thought I knew exactly what I was getting in to, but no. Nothing can prepare you for just how massive this car is in person. It actually feels oversized for 1:6 figures, appearing more like a Power Wheels car some kid could hop on top of. It fits where I intended it to go, and is exactly the width and length I expected, and yet it feels so much larger in the room than I ever imagined.

Took a few photos tonight but was fighting daylight. Almost impossible to get the whole damn thing in the frame. It's also a dust magnet, getting dustier and dustier the longer it sat out.

I'm glad yours is in great shape. Your photos are among the best in this thread man. I love the depth of field effect, it tricks my eyes into believing the Batmobile is even larger than I know it is, and the lighting bouncing off the finish is perfect. Looks like a 1:1 polished (but not too glossy) car in these shots. Just perfect.

Sallah

Looks great there, I've noticed on yours and a couple of other people's pics how important overhead lighting is to bring this to life. Sorry to hear about your scratch.

I am guessing it is the camera's light... but is the little screen with the Batmobile on it supposed to light up? And the lights in the back seat? Because mine don't....

That is an awesome display you have there Sallah.

I had to miss out on this Batmobile because I have no space to display it but I know one day I'll regret not getting it.

Congrats to everyone else who has picked this up.

Great shots Spanbauer and Sallah, they look fantastic. Also good to hear you got a perfect one Spanbauer, I know you were concerned. I love your detail shots.

And Sallah, yeah looking at the whole picture I'd deal with the scuffs you had. Thankfully it's just on one side and not really gouges. Your cocoon looks like it came out okay and survived the trip too. The display overall is very impressive. I didn't know you displayed all your Kenner items too, it's very clean and museumesque. Great work.

Also, do the lights on the back behind the seats light up Spanbauer? I noticed that too. Mine don't, yet in a lot of pics it looks like other people's are glowing.
