You can ask them for a $100 or $80 refund. AE was offering me $100 partial refund once they talked with Sideshow. They're trying hard to make us keep it so it shouldn't be hard to convince them.I am still in a waiting game with SS... With both the scratches and the box damage, I have to give it serious thought before accepting a $75 credit and having no recourse if I find something else wrong.
At the same time... Taking the full refund and having to box this baby up would almost be painful. It isn't the Batmobile's fault it's scratched... It just wants to stay home and be loved.

ya'll are making me nervous for when mine finally arrives. all this scruff talk is making me anxious. just curious, if you ask sideshow to open your box to check for damages prior to shipping would they do that or is that a no?
Where did you get yours from? I'm was afraid SSC might repackage some of the damaged ones that got send back as new, if they do, there will be hell!
I just got an email from BBTS customer service. They are getting a new batch in 1-3 days and are asking customers if they want it factory sealed, or the BBTS crew will open and inspect before they ship.
anyone found a way to fix the scruffs yet?

I have heard using a cloth to polish in toothpaste can repair scratches on a CD... Now I have no idea if that fix can apply to other materials or not, and I am WAY too scared to try it on my Batmobile, but I am wondering if it might be able to alleviate some of the "lesser" scratches?

Toothpaste sometimes is very abrasive on some materiales, and do more scratches.
There is a nice product, called "Novus", I have used it to remove scratches on acrilic cases...
I don't know if this will work on the batmobile, but i think it's better than toothpaste
I wouldn't try it. You risk oxidization of the paint.
