So guys, is this a $60 purchase....? I want to get it, but was thinking of holding out until $40 or so - I like to support the franchises, but kinda hesitant on this one

Hey dude, how's it going? I keep meaning to reply to your PM, sorry itd been so long. Haha. Glad you're enjoying the game though, i had a feeling you'd love it.
Yeah I tried using the bat claw, tried hitting him, throwing batarangs. Nothing seemed to work. And just now everything got super choppy, like when you have a DVD that starts jumping and playing up. It was ridiculous. I couldn't tell what the hell was going on. They seriously need to release some patches for this otherwise I reckon a lot of people will stop playing.

I'm just trying to track Bane after the whole joker scene. Man that was awesome. Truly awesome. It could possibly be the best story of the three games so far. The joker in this is just amazing.

Yeah that whole Royal Hotel segment was epic!! I loved it. The story in this game really delivered for me. Wasn't expecting much story wise but now having finished it I'm happy to say it's my favourite of the three games.
Gameplay-wise however AC still wins.

Yeah they really need to sort out some patches fast. The fast travel system is really bad too amongst other things. It's distracting and takes you out of the game. Hope they can sort it out!

The next RS installment is already a go so you don't have to feel obligated to give these yokels your money.

I'ma hold out til Christmas, will be on Steam sale for sure and fit the time of year. Meantime, gonna get that new Assassins Creed. Never played any of those before.

Concerning the Lacey Tower detective case

How did Batman deduce the mystery man was the Joker? He scanned all the evidence in and hacked into GCPD, and was just like "a-HA, the Joker!" He'd only heard the Joker's name once in passing before. Was there some sort of DNA evidence that he got from GCPD?

This game is pissing me off. I started this last night and already I've had the game freeze 3 times at a black screen and once in the middle of gliding.

I felt he was even worse to Robin in AC. The guy just swings in to give him the line launcher and offer some help, and Batman bare acknowledges he's even there. Rudely tells him to get out of there and that he can do it all himself I love Batman.

Its almost like the game makers too like Batman working solo but have to accept he isn't the lone wolf he likes to think he is. He has a LOT of support, whether he likes it or not.

Unreal, this game has frozen on me 6 times in a row in just 20 minutes! I'm getting sick of redoing the missions every time!

the joker getting arrested, the sequence playing as him, playing as the red hood, and I never knew Harley was in this at all so as soon as she walked in I knew it was going to be her and was super excited. Was a great little surprise

one of the best versions of the joker in this for me.

I agree, story wise it may be my favourite. I loved the idea behind Asylum with the joker taking over but the whole Titan element of the plot was quite meh for me. And the main plot was just lifted from Grant Morrison's book so I find it hard to really credit the story there as it wasn't their own. And I LOVE Morrison's book. The gameplay in City was the best yeah, I loved the extra moves and gadgets, and the whole story with this one is just brilliant. I understand why most reviews are saying the story is the best part.

I've not had any issues with the fast travel, or do you mean you just don't like the way it's done, in a quick cut scene?

where you're inside Joker's mind was BRILLIANT! The fighting as Joker, the hallucinations of Nightmare Batman, The Red Hood stuff, plus the added bonus of Harleen falling for him throughout that whole segment

- was all awesome!

Have you finished the main story yet?

I don't mind the cut-scene of the fast travel system at all, but it's occasionally glitched for me and I've heard for others too. The sound vanishes during the cutscene, then after that there's serious lag for a while in the area you drop into. Annoying.
