Mad Hatter Side Mission yet?

Yeah, that was messed up. Especially when Batman says
"You'll be okay" and Alice is all "No, I won't" and starts crying. Hot damn.

Definitely. The whole experience just drops to this deep, dark place. You feel like "I'm Batman! This is awesome! I just shattered that guy's jaw! Oh, look!
Mad Hatter
," and then, with that one line, it's like "**** me, that **** just got dark." Then, even as you're leaving,
you can hear her bawling and echoing all throughout the Hat Shop
, and you're like "that's enough for me tonight.":lol

Oh yeah that sequence -
where you're inside Joker's mind was BRILLIANT! The fighting as Joker, the hallucinations of Nightmare Batman, The Red Hood stuff, plus the added bonus of Harleen falling for him throughout that whole segment
- was all awesome! :D

Have you finished the main story yet?

I don't mind the cut-scene of the fast travel system at all, but it's occasionally glitched for me and I've heard for others too. The sound vanishes during the cutscene, then after that there's serious lag for a while in the area you drop into. Annoying.

Yep, totally, it might be my imagination but I was sure her voice was changing throughout the sequence too. Getting higher pitched.

I've literally just finished the main story, wow. I think I agree with you, the best story out of the three games so far. I'd say the story is up there with the movies. Amazing stuff.
when Batman realised Bane knew her was Bruce Wayne I loved his reaction. I knew as well that Bane would end up getting Alfred, and it'd change Bruce's attitude toward him, but even so, that whole scene had such emotion.

I haven't really done any of the side missions yet as I was too engrossed in the story so should still have plenty to keep me going.

Ah yeah I think that's what happened to me once actually, was seriously messed up, but luckily when I went back on it was fine and hasn't happened again. The amount of glitches though had me seriously worried that something would go wrong at a pivotal point and would ruin the game. It did ruin the experience a little for me but luckily the story has saved this game immensely.

That reaction was one of the best scenes in the game. That and Batman's speech about being fear itself. And also THAT batcave scene.

Yeah I loved it. Smashing the console screen and then just walking out as the room explodes, looking all pi**ed. :rock

Yeah, even though I expected that scene to play out basically the way it did it still seemed powerful.

Mad Hatter Side Mission yet?

Just did that one today. I was surprised it was a lot longer than it's AC counterpart mission.

I really enjoy the game so far. I think it is more challenging though.
The Deathstroke Boss fight was SO ANNOYING. I finally beat him by using the grapple attack and realizing I'd just have to take a few hard attacks that were unblockable.

I also just beat Copperhead. The fight was very easy at first, but then she almost got me with that final stage "launch really fast" attack. From what I've heard, Bane's no picnic either. I also dig the crime scene recreations.

AA is my favorite game out of the 2.5 or so that I've played, but this one and AC are both more difficult. In AO I've noticed regular thugs have very long reaches in their attacks. I'll be fighting a big group and think, "I don't need to counter that guy, he's too far away," but he steps into the attack and hits me anyway lol. Another thing that can be annoying is how it doesn't always reward ground takedowns, you have to be correctly angled to get it even with no one else around.

As someone else said, with AC it just felt like they were trying to cram too many villains in there (though it's still a very good game), so we'll see if this one changes that up any.

So far I"m really liking the game, but the camera blows. I've been getting frustrated during the combat because I get hit by someone off screen when the camera swings around.

~~I'm also stupid because I was getting frustrated during the first boss fight because it took me 20 minutes to beat him. Then when I went to continue after dinner I realized that I started out on the "Hard" difficulty when I thought I was on normal.

Just finished beating banes henchmen. I beat them so hard I've I actually fused one of them with the wall.

This is really becoming a joke through out this game.

Chris

It's wall decor, a piece of art!

But yeah, this game has glitches. I have only experienced freezing once, when I was in the middle of a speed boost with the grapple claw.

They rush these games out for the holidays, expect issues. BF4 will be a mess, watch.

This too, especially when you're surrounded by a bunch of thugs and can't see the incoming hit to counter.

IMO, slade's fight is one if the hardest in the game, since it's all pattern based.

i didn't read back but have you guys discussed the secret compartment on the collector's edition joker statue yet?

apologies if it's been brought up already

You mean where the batteries go?
Nope.

Apparently the compartment contains a bag saying DO NOT OPEN UNTIL COMPLETING THE MAIN STORY, and inside is a Black Mask head to put on the Joker statue.

But are we talking about the Joker statue with the TV screens, or the Joker statue with Batman threatening him?

Mad Hatter Side Mission yet?

But what was so dark about it?

Batman saved her and she was crying because she was traumatized. Mad hatters taunting was a little out there but I feel that BTAS handled the hatter much better and his first appearance episode was darker imo.

No one cries like that simply because they've been "traumatized." Tetch has an unhealthy fixation with "Alice," and she was subjected to mind control; read between the lines, sir.

Finished the game today and most of the side missions. I gatta say, glitches aside, this has got to be the best arkham game of the three. The story line was amazing, the visuals, animation and character design were jaw dropping for a Batman game. Bane looked awesome! The way he should have looked in the first one. Overall I'd give it a 9/10. It lost a point because of all the freezing and glitching.

Chris

I have the PC version of this game and load times take 10 minutes between deaths and fast traveling. Is this normal? It makes playing this game an absolute pain in the rear-end...My computer has more than enough hardware to handle this game as well. Are the Xbox and PS3 versions that slow?

:lecture I actually felt bad leaving her after completing that section. Like, I didn't wanna walk out the room and leave her there like that. It was pretty dark stuff.
