While Kenobi and Reva will battle each other in the show, he doesn't try to kill her and places faith in her ultimately doing the right thing...even if it means Vader will eventually strike her down.
"Over the course of six chapters," the site explains, "audiences will meet Reva as she flees capture, is caught, and turned into a stone cold killer. We will see the Grand Inquisitor belittle her ability and potential. We will see how she has been pitted against the 5th Brother in a rivalry that only stands to make her lose her humanity."
They go on to suggest that Reva's turning point will come when she's presented with the consequences of killing a child (presumably Luke or Leia), which could be her moment of redemption. We haven't seen the character in any other Star Wars projects, so assume this is where her story begins and ends. There's also a chance she'll become a major player in this Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Who could've possibly seen this coming...
If this turns out to be true, that the focus on the story is more on this new Inquisitor character, rather than Kenobi, Disney/Lucasfilm need to strap themselves in for the backlash.
If the show is good enough, it'll hopefully mitigate it somewhat, but if people feel this is a bait and switch, if they aren't getting the Kenobi show they were expecting....
There's so much hype and excitement for Ewan returning, a "bait and switch" scenario, with someone else being the focus, not Ewan, will likely leave a bitter taste in many fans mouths.
I wasn't planning on watching Kenobi on its release (though maybe sometime down the road), I don't even have D+ for a start.
I was going to monitor reactions to the show though, probably read spoilers etc, watch YouTube responses to it, other social media etc. But if it is indeed the case that Kenobi takes a bit of a back seat, I predict there will be a lot of toxicity all around. The show creators will likely blame the fans, the entertainment media will definitely blame toxic fans, some fans will probably take the criticism too far, fans will be split on the series and we'll have the usual nasty trolling and counter trolling.
The nice thing about The Mandalorian being good, was that it brought fans together and there was some healing in the fandom.
Another devisive show, one with such high hopes, is going to dig it all up. The whole, put in a new female character to take focus from Kenobi, stinks of KK's involvement, which will drag all that stuff up again.
Maybe it's not the case, maybe Kenobi will indeed be the big focus in the show, the drive of the story. I do have a bad feeling though.
