Re: Blade Runner 2049 (October 6th, 2017)

I got to see this last week. This was an amazing film. The cinematagraphy, the score, plot, the dialogue, and characters were all so well done. This is a true gem of a film. Too bad it is not doing so well at the box office. Denis V. is a titan among todays directors. Everything he puts out is just fantastic. Can't wait to get this on Blu and see what he does next.

Yeah, it will be at least another 5-10 years before '90s nostalgia dominates the world. Can't wait to see the kids walking down the street in Z Cavariccis.

The truth is that trailer didn't have any "wow" moments for the general audience to be interested in.
Which says a lot about the general audience.
But these pseudo critics can't blame the audience because that's like bitin' dem hands that feeds their fat faces.

Yup, 80's.

T2 is 90's so get lost.

I'll have you know I'm also quite partial to T1! I can even quote it

:D

Incidentally 90s nostalgia is a thing - back when my town had a summer festival before the locals whined about it being loud - a band specialising in 90s chart hits were the headliners for a few years. All music that we were supposed to hate even at the time and yet now it's apparently what we want to hear.

After they milk all this 80s nostalgia ****, they'll move onto the 90s. In some cases, they already have. Look at the Power Rangers.

Hell, when I was at SDCC, they had huge booth, panels and ads for random Nickelodeon shows like Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life and some other obscure crap that people were flocking too.

We're pretty much at the point where the entertainment snake is devouring it's own tail. At the rate they're going, there's not going to be much left to remake/reboot or anniversary-ize. Then people will get nostalgia for nostalgia, if such a thing is even possible. It'll end sooner or later though, especially when most of us die off and future generations don't have the attention span or care about these old crappy movies.

Most people want quick, disposable, easy to digest lives with little or no substance or thinking involved.

Thinking is hard, reality is slow and boring, and they want quick random action to distract them .....

Punisher I have a big......nose i’ll at least survive the first assault lol

Movies should no longer be given maturity ratings, start using IQ numbers to allow entry.

Bustin' out the Flair Flop :lol

Yea, it's 180 from 30 years ago. Geeks have inherited the Earth.

I would not be surprised to see 'Revenge of the Jocks' in production.

Geeks are now protected by now compared to back then...lol...fact
