We see him lifting so much stuff, like, cars and stuff.

You see him say "oh god" before that thing hit him from behing at the airport when he was after Bucky and Falcon, showing his spidey sense.

Not to mention his incredible reflexes.

Of course he has his regular powers :lol

One thing unclear to me, does Spiderman have powers, like spidey sense and all, or is he just like some wiz kid who created webbing and all? It seems like his powers are tech, not biological.

His abilities go beyond tech. He holds up a walkway in the airport fight, matches Bucky's arm for strength, etc...

Oh right, Tony said "turn his wings into a glider" or something.

Ah. That makes more sense. It was bothering me. lol

And Peter mentions to Stark that his senses are dialled up to 11 and his goggles help him focus. I figured that was his Spidey Sense he was talking about.

They couldn't if they wanted to...The rights to FF, X-Men and their off shoots are with another studio

Yup, I'm well aware of that.

There's just a lot of fans who see the sub-titles like "Age of Ultron" and "Civil War" and they immediately compare it to the corresponding comic story-line with the same name or believe it should follow the source material more closely. The truth is that Marvel openly said that the sub-titles are just "borrowed" from the comic story-lines and have little-to-nothing to do with them. So some fans think "Civil War" and instantly think we need dozens and dozens of heroes duking it out like the comic series. Some people just seem to refuse to separate the two and can't talk about one while comparing it to the other.

Oh well...

Just saw the film and I thought it was pretty awesome. Great cast, good story, great action, and just when you think the airport scene is the climax and the ending might be anti climatic, they throw a little twist in there to make the fight between Capt and Stark meaningful unlike that other film that came out this year. Good stuff.

This film might have the best Spiderman on film so far, and what took Sony 2 full films, Disney did it with one scene and a great action sequence. The kid looks, sounds, and acts like a teenage Peter Parker. Also, no more creepy old ladies as Aunt May. Can't wait to see Tony Stark in the solo Spiderman film. They had great chemistry.

Without question, CW is the best superhero film so far this year and maybe the best Marvel film so far along with the first Iron Man.

No more creepy old ladies as Aunt May? Huh?

I thought Marisa Tomei was a bad casting choice, and I haven't found the point of making Aunt May "young" and hot. Maybe wincest fantasies?

What's wrong with sweet old Aunt May?

Overall I don't see anything special with this Spidey, they did him the same they've been doing it all along. I get the hype for this movie, I don't get the hype for Spiderman like it's a new shining thing.

I'm more impressed by how well they did BP.

Peter's 15 so an aunt in her 70s would seem a bit ridiculous. This makes more sense, in my opinion.

Stark is single. Aunt May is probably single. Tony is in the Spiderman film...he knows Peter's secret and will probably date Peter's aunt. Works for me.

Keep that annoying old lady that was only there to give Peter relationship advice...in a really annoying and boring way.:lol

I disagree about Spidey. The moment I saw that kid as Peter (not spidey) I was sold. I can't say the same about Tobey or the other guy. I also liked how Spidey was very naive and innocent while fighting the other superheroes.

Tomei is in her 50's or close to it

When I was 15, all my Aunt's were in their 40-50's so it makes sense.

Also, just another way that Marvel is differentiating from the other Spider-man series.

I think a *little* bit of grey hair would have gone a long way. Maybe a little Rogue-esqe streak.

Don't think so, actually, part of Tony's motivations are to fix his thing with Pepper.

I think it would've been cuter and more humorous if Tony had been flirting with Aunt May, if Aunt May was an older lady.

Raimi's Aunt May >>>> MCU Aunt May.

I would rather Raimi's Aunt May to tuck me in and.... Wait, no..... I'm not making a good case here....

She's about the same age as Tony..and they already planted the seed of Tony being a single guy....so it's pretty obvious they'll be seeing each other in the solo Spiderman film.

Yeah, Cap's a beast. Which is why match-ups like Batman vs Black Panther and Batman vs Captain America are dumb as hell. Batman vs Spider-Man is one of the most one sided match-ups ever. It takes a special kind of fanboy to say that Batman wins a random encounter versus the Goddamn Spider-Man.
Agreed. Batman vs Black PANTHER should be overkill. Batman is basically fighting a replica of himself but eho is stronger, faster, more durable, more agile, etc.

I saw it last night -liked it a lot and would give it 8 out 10. I liked CA:WS much more- that was a tighter movie, the whole conspiracy storyline with SHIELD and HYDRA and I missed Nick Fury in CW.

And in my opinion, the critics over-rated CW and under-rated B vs. S. I may be in the minority, but I didn't despise B vs S as much as everyone on this board (I am not that invested in the DC characters, always been more of a Marvel fan)

You nailed it- YES
