Thats how you do a lightsaber. When its turned on that is!

Hate the paint apps on the headsculpt tho, cheaplooking.

Not worth 2000$, but lovely nonetheless.

Thanks for sharing Mirak! Great video and pics. The sound effects and lights are top notch. :clap

thanks for the video and photos, but they really convinced me to cancel this. The squatting pose and white lightsaber will drive me nuts if i ever have it on display.

A very cool statue, but I would buy a 1:1 item instead of this any day of the week. They could have chosen a pose so much more impressive than this weird fencing one, and even give up the idea with the lighted plastic pole aka lightsaber. Attakus Vader is not very accurate, but its pose is one of the best out there. But CM is known for some weird poses like their CM Endo too (which is so effeminate it screams gay)

Great pics! You've got one of 300 pcs that will ever be made worldwide!

I guess Cinemaquette was a little ahead of the curve, and now Sideshow is following suit with the Legendary scale -

If you're specifically a Vader collector this is a nice piece to have.
it's a little steep especially considering the Legendary scale will likely be the same price at 1/2 scale, but I hope it is nearly as beautifully made as the CM.

(btw I forgot who mentioned it, but he's not exactly "squatting" it's really more of a forward lunge)

i thought the es is 1000?

1,000 is the ideal cm maximum run but when people dont order in a certain time frame, of course they cap the edition size...
I was told by george, the owner of the cm who also happens to be my friend...

300 is a very VERY low run even for a cm...i think they maxed at 600+ just for the predator... congratulations to anyone who picked up vader, bc its gonna be rare...more of the michael burnett ones at 500.

You know, between the expensive licensing of jej / vaders voice and separate licensing of the character, the cost to manufacture by hand, the packaging, and artist costs, 2,000 pricetag is not terribly far from the real cost to make...sure they could make more dough if they did the full run of 1000,

...but a collectible that's always available, isnt very collectible, and thats why I think cm closes the runs, when the time is right...

Very true, very true. Now it comes down to the waitlist. I hope I get one.

I'd imagine CM (George) can't afford to have multiple pieces in production at one time. Hence, once The Creature goes into production, Vader will cease.

demorathis, are you going to order The Creature From the Black Lagoon?

I was planning on it, bc creature is one of my minor focuses (foci ;)
so we.ll see, I collect by character for the most part, and so far even though I also collect predator, it's not a major focus...so I missed the boat on that one...creature is really tempting ;)...the only other one I have is the alien, which I love despite any criticism bc it's just so impressive and the way it is rendered just screams alien...

I collect vader (maul), alien (predator), godzilla, creature from the black lagoon, capt davy jones, batman ( batmobiles), etc m misc other stuff... Guilty pleasures like jabba the hutt, decepticons, playmobil pirates, and some lego....but in terms of really high end stuff, I limit it to the quality and likeness of certain versions...all version of vader figural or helmet-based items, the giger alien specifically, '62 '89 '91 '94 '95 gmk godzillas, land version of the gillman, any davy jones, btas black/grey version frank miller 89 arkham asylum/city versions of batman, 66 89 batmobiles in particular...

This has been an expensive year to say the least ;p

Attakus Vader 1 still the best in my eyes.

I do wish I could pick a CM vader one day unless sideshow makes LSF.

Sideshow no doubt will make the legendary figure...

No doubt that attakus 1 is one of my favorite statutes...
i just wish the helmet was better...the rest is so realistic...

Btw your signature is frickin hilarious!!;)
