I just heard on Espn radio that there is speculation if LSU loses to Georgia and OSU beats Oklahoma, it will still be LSU vs. Alabama for the MNC.

Mmkay, so Oklahoma State loses to unranked nobody Iowa State and drops from 2 to 4. Arkansas loses to first ranked LSU, and drops from 3 to 8. Makes sense.
Which is why we need a playoff system.

OSU deserves the game more then Alabama. Alabama had its chance to beat LSU AT HOME. At least OSU won it conference, Alabama couldn't even make its conference championship.I would agree with that. OSU doesn't deserve to be there. That loss to Iowa state sunk that ship. Still hoping that Georgia pulls the major upset!!!

OSU lost to an unranked team the day after they had a HUGE tragedy, and really they shouldnt even played the game that day. You cant use that as an excuse but really you can't deny that didnt have a effect on the team.Again I see your point but Alabama lost to LSU who was number 1 in a very close game and probably should have won if not for a bad kicking game. OSU lost to an unranked nobody. No way they deserve a shot and both Alabama or LSU would kill them if given the chance. If OSU does get its chance, all everyone will see is another butt wooping by a SEC team just like the other recent national title games.

If there were no other 1 loss teams who win there conference I would be 100% ok with a rematch, but when there are other teams who deserve the chance then a non conference winner.
The championship game is between who should be playing for it, not who the best teams are.
Playoff is the only way to decide the best team.
And IMHO a playoff would include the top 4 teams in the BSC.
Like others are saying, I don't think it will make any difference because the BCS schools are making so much money hand over fist with the system as is. BCS is screwy every year in one way or another, but none of the foolishness we see through the year in terms of rankings is gonna trump the almighty $$$. That matters more than letting teams put it on the line at the end of the year to see, at that point in time, who is truly the best team when matched up against other great teams. Way too much subjectivity, bias, and uncertainty in the system now, and the only way to cut through that is to have teams prove it on the field.we may get a playoff after this rematch......thank god that will be the only good come out of it..
I really really really don't wanna see LSU play Alabama again, because I'm an LSU guy and think Alabama's probably gonna win this time. But if we're gonna try to match up the two teams that seem to be the best in college right now, that's the best matchup out there. Unfortunately, the BCS is what it is, and Alabama did what it had to do to get ranked this highly at this point in the year, and Oklahoma State didn't. Of course, even in a playoff system the championship game may not end up being between the two best teams (they may play earlier in the tournament, or one team might have a fluke loss-stuff that you just can't avoid no matter what system you set up). But I think a playoff is the best system for determining who really should be considered the champion.
