Well, my Amex just got hit to the tune of $264 from Homedics for medical equipment.:confused::confused:

My only other CC is now cancelled, and I'll be living off the first one I had to get replaced. This really has been a pain in the ass. I've been hit for $400+, of which I have to wait 6-8 weeks to get it back. Both cards were used at CSC, the Amex most recently during their sale.

That sux Mesa...really does.....just blows...

I feel for ya....

:(

Thanks jye.

Shouldn't your credit card company give you a temporary credit for any suspicious charges?

Amex was cool and suspended the charge to my account for the 6-8 week dispute period.

The people at Visa basically told me to ignore it while the dispute was settled, also the same possible 6-8 weeks. No mention of suspending it, so the two fraudelent charges will still be on the bill for at least a month. So I know have a little pile of corrsepondance with who I've had to speak to and what they told me. And they are making me getting something notarized and mailed back to them.

Visa is not as simple as Amex, where at least Amex is doing the legwork.

I actually got a call from fraud prevention at my bank (before I knew anything was wrong) and they went through all the charges and I told them that they were all fraudulent - but one of them went through anyway. So I had to down to the bank to fill out a form in person and then it will take 2-3 weeks for it to get removed (if they do agree to remove it).

My MC just got hit and I had neither an order process or charged to my card...only two pre-orders that are waayyy wayyyy out there. They wont be here I guess until almost SDCC. So that crap about there only being exposure to cards that had active orders that were already sent out or processed is just bull.

The fallout continues guys...watch your statements daily.:monkey2

I've been getting loads of spam mail and spam phone calls since i got my card jacked...they signed me up for everything under the sun. Proactiv, temporpedix, debtrelief, etc....gAAAHHH

My charges were reversed the next day and will be made permanent withing a month. I just have to sign and mail back a self addressed envelope I should be receiving soon.

I'm with everyone saying to keep checking your cards. I just recieved my two replacement cards last week and both chase and capital one were really on top of things. As soon as I contacted them regarding those $1.00 test charges they cancelled the cards and reversed the charges.

I'm still checking my accounts like always but i'm hoping that I'm past it and caught the jerks before they could charge anything significant to my account. Good luck to everyone out there and just keep checking.

One of the coolest features on my credit card is the ability to create a virtual account number before ordering anything online. I just log into my account and click a button that creates a random number that expires after you use it. I'd highly recommend anyone who does a lot of online purchasing find a card that offers this as an option.

I was hit hard They Used my Credit card to purchase about 25 items. Acai,Itunes,Columbia House,Extreme G, etc. Thankfully my bank is getting me my money back. total loss came to $265

This is depressing still hearing about people suffering from this incident. Thankfully mine has been resolved and that card no longer exists.

I feel for all of you.........I hope it all works out.

Is it safe to order with a credit card there now or is this an ongoing concern?
Sorry if its been mentioned just a ton of posts to go through

You are free to do so if you wish but I for one am not ever gonna use his site again unless it is for "pay and pick up" ONLY!

I like Thomas, my brother knows him and I've met the guy at SDCC and enough can't be said for his prices but with him saying for several weeks that it wasn't his fault, the breach didn't come from CSC and all just to have to come back and say, "...opps...it was our fault, sorry." That took the cake for me. All along, the problem, like many suspected, was on his end the whole time. So far all he's offered was an apology, however sincere it might be, it isn't enough...not for me anyway.

Now the real issue is this; I, and several other folks from other boards, can confirm that not only our CC's and emails were stolen but our home addresses too. Now I am debating if I should get LifeLock or not...BUT I THINK THOMAS AND CSC SHOULD PAY FOR IT! ^^^^^ING SONOFAB%&*:banghead

Sorry for the rant.

Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, this is crazy, i'm getting a ton of spam now...

This might be more than just the CC theft and be a full blown Identity Theft.

I'm pissed as well yet I have some on here telling me to go easy on CSC.

Yeah, ok.

I'm not out to create problems for them, all i'm asking for are 2 things:

1. The complete story
2. What are they going to do for me to keep me around as a customer

If they feel that they have fulfilled # 1 then great, i'll have to see how things play out in regards to how deep my Identity and Financial health will become infected with this crime.

If they feel they have fulfilled # 2, then great for them again. Ask me about my own feelings on # 2 and i'll tell you that they haven't done squat!

Boo-f#*$ing-hoo.

If somebody steals your car, are you going to swear off buying another one from that same maker because they didn't provide car-jacking protection? Grow up and move on with your life.

You better hurry up, you're going to be late for your shift at CSC.

So in essence, you're telling everyone in this thread the same thing?

If you're content with rolling over when you've been victimized, more power to you.

Do you walk around with a t-shirt that says "Steal from me, I roll over and curl up into a ball so don't worry about me" and does that shirt have a bullseye on it....

If not, you should get one.

Why don't you post your address so that maybe those thieves can send that shirt to you.

You should wear it proud.

Your Virtual Insanity fits you perfect and then some because not only are you insane, you're a donkey.

I think this is more on the scale of if your car got stolen and you found out the dealership kept copies of the keys with all your info attached but didn't lock them up. would you buy from that dealership again let alone not be upset with them?

^Exactly, great way to put it.

jye4ever has every right to be angry at CSC.....because of them our CC's were stolen along with our addresses.

I don't trust CSC anymore and I will never order from them again. That is the final story, worry about your own opinion.

For everyone affected, it's pretty much wait and see and I can't stress enough how critical it is that you look at your online statements a minimum of twice a day for the next 4 months and keep in close contact with your CC companies.

I've said this before and i'll say it again, IF WE HAD OUR SS #'s at CSC, we would've been 100 x WORSE OFF!

There's no guarantee that they weren't able to get that info from somewhere else but I don't think they did.

Who really knows what multiple agendas they really have because them using our cards just for purchases could be only one piece of the puzzle...sheesh!

Regarding the emails, just make sure that you have your anti-virus and firewalls turned on because they or others could be phishing for more of our personal data.

How anyone....ANYONE who was affected can make asanine comments that others should just grow up and move on with their lives is a mystery to me and makes me believe that they're the ones in need of maturity and actually getting a clue.

Good luck to us all who where affected.
