$2,000 and no ES announced? Ouch. That's more than what I spend in all of my collectibles in a year.

well I was way the ____ off on the price. Doesn't make sense to me, especially if it's open ES, but oh well, I won't be buying any of them.

The Darth Maul Legendary Scale Figure will be priced at $1,999.99 and will have a 10%, or $400 USD Non-Refundable Deposit

Although Sideshow sucks when it comes to math, This is a great piece and if you can afford it, you should buy it...

I for once can't so it is an easy pass....:monkey2

I'm going to laugh if the price is a typo and not the "$400 10% deposit." :lol

Agreed, a Cinemaqutte is 2K... don't get me wrong Maul is wonderful, and if I was a huge Maul fan is would be a consideration... Now if it were Vader, Indy or Batman.. I'd be weeping into into my cornflakes right now.. and robbing my savings account in a Joker mask...:)

You must be bat**** crazy to buy this for $2000. The MR falcon and at-at are only a little bit more and those are considered the pinnacle of star war collection.

This will go the same way as their $5000 bronze statues, attracting a few with more money than sense. Only way i can see this get sold are stores or commercial companies needing 1 as a decoration.

lol @ sideshow

2k and open ES will make me get it down the line so I can think about it. Will wait for ES announcement.

lol at $2000 for that.
So around $300 for Premium Formats ...and if you double the size its 6 times the price.

I just can't get over the size of that saber hilt...I hope they don't do the same to the eventual vader.

a regrettable pass for me...

that's why I won't pay that much for these, just a Predator or Predator 2, but that's it. They already established a $300 price tag for a 1/4 pf piece, so how do they justify 6X that price for a 1/2 pf? I think it's obvious SS is trying to run CM out of business and they are only tailoring to that consumer base. If your a CM buyer, and you can get a 1/2 piece for the same price as a 1/3 piece, who you gonna go with?

Well, I'm 99.99% sure its being used on Maul and all the LSF as thats one of the big selling points. That was how I took what was said to a group of us talking to one of the SS folks looking at these during Preview night.

i believe it will only be used on obi and not on maul. no point on the translucent since he is covered with paint (darker tone colors)

Well its probably 4 times the material to make the LSF. :wink1:

Hasn't the argument always been that the price of 1/6 clothes is expensive due to the difficulty of working with stitching in such small sizes. At 1/2, aren't they essentially making kids clothes? It should be easier then, right? :wink1:

Gah, 2K.... I was so hoping for $1,500. Or an optimistic $1,200. I know I have no right to be pissed off, because it's not like anyone is forcing anyone to buy it, if I want to fork out their asking price, I can, and if not I can leave it. But somehow, for some unjustifiable reason, I do feel jibbed as a collector.

The edition numbers on these better be really bloody low... any word on this from SSC?

Unfortunately the whole Legendary Scale line might be open like Neytiri and Iron Man are. The good thing is since these will never go up in value you can always get these cheaper from sellers on ebay when they eventually get sick of these.
